The federal defense leadership needs to be reorganized from a hodge podge of competing agencies and the FBI needs an internal shakeup. Heads need to roll.

Should The FBI Be Dismantled?

And replaced by what? Who is going to do those jobs, nobody? We don't need an FBI? If a new dept is created, are they going to use the same guys or will we see a buncha rookies running around? How will they be any different from the old bunch? Great, we get rid of the FBI. Then what?

I'm surprised he hasn't been "mysteriously" murdered.

The FBI is corrupt and incompetent. Books have been written about it.

They were always corrupt. For decades, the most corrupt man in Washington was Hoover.

The FBI needs to go, completely. Tear it out root and branch. Burn the brush. Salt the soil.

You need to adjust the tin foil in your hat, might be to tight.

We all know, the people that actually care about America, what has happened to the FBI. Even leftists now admit that maybe, just maybe, the FBI went a little too far and got a little too enthusiastic about their 'missions'

We also know how Kash Patel, Trump's nominee for FBI Director, feels about the FBI. He wants to tear it down. And, the morre I think about it, the more angry I get and the more I agree.

Setting our anger with them aside, can the FBI be saved? I'm interested in hearing, reading, thinking people's thoughts on it.

I'm not sure. Again, this perplexed me. What does the constitution say about it? Is it constitutional? Ill say..yes, because it's a mechanism of national security, but only for that reason. So in that regard, it needs to be there.

So my answer is, no, it shouldn't be dismantled.

The FBI is the most effective crime investigative agency in the world

The only reason Republicans want to disband them is because they dared to investigate Republicans.

Guess what?
The FBI suspected Trump of storing Top Secret documents at Mara Lago and they found them

But the reason why they didn't raid bidens house is a reason why people don't trust the FBI. They should have raided bidens homes and buildings like they did trumps, not wait until bidens lawyers have time to comb through the boxes and then invite the FBI to come take a look.

We need to be sure that democrats don't consolidate power in any agency. The hiring and promotions need to consider political balance so we don't end up with Comey/McCabe/Strzok/Page trying to manage elections again.

The reason they didn’t raid Biden’s house or Mike Pence was that they reported the classified documents when they were found and turned them in.

Trump denied he had them and ordered them moved in an attempt to hide them. That made a search necessary

Biden turned over his documents by notifying the agency first.

Trump lied, denied, sighed, 'whyed', then cried when he got his ass kicked.

And yet, you will not even suggest I'm incorrect. Look, I get it: you KNOW I am correct. You KNOW the FBI has been rotten to the core for decades. You KNOW they have railroaded innocent people. You KNOW they have covered for criminals.

You do not CARE, because orange man bad.

Jarlaxle, of course you are incorrect.
And yet, you will not even ATTEMPT to support that claim.

Nope, but the new building they have planned should be canceled. Also the Hoover Building and a ton of field offices need a highly effective high colonic to flush all the shit out of them. As Patel said, there is no reason to have 700 sworn agents sitting on their asses in the Hoover Building, they can hire GS 5s to push paper.

The FBI doesn't need to be torn down. What the incoming administration and Kash Patel need to do is remove all those FBI senior personnel who perpetuated the lawfare against the conservative/republican politicians and general public and replace at least some of them with the whistleblowers who saw what was happening and just vacate some others positions, until more impartial agents can fill in the gaps.

No, I don't have to rebut, because you are unable to support your dotardish claim. Cartwright's voice: the little orange bitch is bad!

These files have been missing for years. If the FBI had been on the ball they would have figured out where they were at years ago.

Instead they were out planting drugs in the inner cities.

Some of us don't believe it CAN be fixed. That the culture is so sick, so depraved, so 'Me-First' that it is beyond repair and needs to be shut down with a bar on hiring any former agents into a Federal Law Enforcement Agency.

Lawyers with guns? What could go wrong?

Under the Radar, the EPA is bragging about their first Imprisonment of an Air Pollution violator. What's next? Giving Post Men guns so they can shoot people who don't use the correct postage stamps?

I don't know. I just don't think we'll have another opportunity to rid our Government of the cancer of the FBI.

I could be wrong but I don't think so.

Let's say Trump and Kash clean house. The next dimocrap SCUM admin will just resurrect all the criminals and give it back to them.
I get what you're saying, and how you feel about it. In some ways I'm with you...But, I think that much of the politicization we see in the FBI comes from the top...

Patel knows 'where the bodies are buried' so to speak. We don't want to overplay our hand like Democrats do...

The thing to do is to make sure that our government is responsive to the people like it was designed, NOT go in with a sledge hammer and break everything....

The way I understand it, bidens lawyers went through those boxes before they called the FBI.

Biden was treated with kids gloves on that issue. Starting with the fact that he was allowed to keep them for over 30 years and nobody said anything about it

Biden turned over his stuff after his lawyers combed through it.
