If we got gas from Russia over the Nord Stream 1+2 pipelines we had also been able to give Russian gas to the Ukraine in case Russia and the Ukraine had been in a serios diplomatic conflict. The Ukraine, the borderland, would have been less susceptible to blackmail. Such things always worked - also during the cold war. But meanwhile stupidity seems to dominate not only the US-American politics.

Do not compare Trump with Hitler. Trump has Congress and the Supreme Court as co-equals to keep him within the Law.
Trump had an amazing two weeks, winning in court and getting his agenda passed in congress.
