Trump never threatened to dissolve NATO, he threatened to quit it if the Europeans didn't live up the their treaty obligations. The Europeans have been riding on America's coattails for their defense ever since WWII.

Why pretend that the US leaving NATO wouldn't be a complete disaster to the alliance?

No NATO member was "obligated" to get to 2% of GDP by a binding treaty agreement. Threatening to leave doesn't strengthen NATO, it weakens it when the core member of the alliance is constantly threatening to leave or not fight if Russia attacks, and then cozes up to Putin at the same time.

Many countries in NATO have GDPs similar to our smallest states. It is what it is, if you want the strongest ,military alliance in history. It's a small price to pay for global peace.

Those are just mean tweets. NATO is stronger than ever, thanks in part to Trump.

Yeah, they should be sure to pony up their little 2% to get the might of 29 nations who produce over 50% of GDP!

The JCPOA had an end date, after which Iran had no restrictions on developing nuclear weapons. Trump said "no nukes ever", and did not hesitate to bomb their enrichment facilities. Now Iran needs to decide to keep working on bombs, or work on prosperity for their people.

1. There is some evidence that after the 2017 tax cuts tax revenue increased, there is no evidence "it ran in the opposite direction"
View attachment 1131358

2. The BBB imposes a 3% Remittance Tax on money sent out of the US to pay for the wall. Promise kept. Congress had to impose the new tax.

3. Tariffs have not caused inflation. I know democrat commies like free stuff, just tax the shit out of the rich, but capitalism works best when tariffs are fair to all partners. To his credit Trump is fixing trade deals to be fair to US manufacturers, especially US car manufacturers, who democrats shit on.

There's plenty more articles out there have researched the effects of the tax cuts. Here's two. Even when you go back to the Bush tax cuts, it literally shows the same thing. Tax cuts with no direct way to pay for them will simply add to the deficit. All this horseshit about it creating investments and jobs and prosperity are for the rubes to swallow whole so they'll support it, nothing more.

There is no evidence the ventilation shafts were fortified with any super nanofiber concrete.

I have no idea if they were or weren't, or why this would even matter. It's not like the shafts go in a straight line from the surface to the certrifuges either way. That'd be pretty stupid of Iran.

We know the air goes to the entire facility.
Nice path for the blast wave.

NATO is an alliance, but not one of equals.

No idea what you like to say with the word "equals" now. Is an eye less equal than a fist? Is a tooth brush more important than a tooth pick? Is a good idea from an Lithuanian more worse then a bad idea from an US-American?

The USA has always bore the brunt of the costs in manpower,

You have an army. And you pay money for your army. Soon you will have to pay 50% (in real purchasing power) more for your army because Donald Trump "wan" in whatever strange verbal law against the own allies an however idiotic "I am the best"-price.

equipment and dollars. What Trump did was to shift SOME of those costs to the NATO partners over time.

When Germany pays more for the own army then this not means the USA wins anything. We are for example strengthen currently the ability of the Ukraine to be able to produce their own weapons. NATO-compatibility is only one criterion in this deadly and dangerous "game" in which Ukrainians seriosly die. Poland will soon produce much more ammunition. And so on and so on. Trump is in this game a "Joker" who's fighting for Putin and not for the western world including the USA. What Trump the 1st said and Trump the 2nd is saying no one should take serios. He's only a comic speech bubble acting without any education or real knowledge. My father - God rest his soul - would probably have said about him: ‘This man is as stupid as a ship's shit!’

West Germany was one of the strongest NATO members,

What a nonsense. "Na, dann siegt mal schön!"= ‘Well then, have a nice victory!’ was the first "order" to our army when the Bundeswehr was founded. Up to now this never had happened. We never wan. Not a bad result up to now.

EAST Germany was one of the weakest Warsaw pact members.

Depends how to see it.

The USA promoted a strong Germany somewhat to the dismay of the French who were Germany's historical enemies.

"France" is a German word - Charlesmagne a German - the German "lingua franka" in France had been Latin. A result of this and the Celts there is one of the most wonderful "Germanic" languages of the world: "French".

What weakened Germany after reunification was trying to bring East Germany and East Germans up to modern western standards and repair the environmental damage done by the Soviets.

Weirdo. If you ever had to live in Honeckers country then you would know what a great job we did do. But not every abstrahot knows what he speaks about.

East Germany was building the horrible and horribly polluting Trabant while West Germany was producing world leading cars like Mercedez-Benz and BMW.

The Trabbi is still an endearing legend - all over Germany. "The worst car I ever made" (his constructor) just can't be killed.

My guess based upon the tenor of your postings is that you live in what was East Germany.

Which region exactly? Masuren?

You keep whining about Trump

US-Amerincas are whining when they are full of contempt for someone? ... Hmm ... Exists there an equivalent behavior under the ancient Greek heroes?

with no basis for criticism. Trump has been right about everything, about the EU buying gas from Putin, about EU deadbeats not paying 2%, about strengthening NATO by paying more than 2%. If Putin attacks a NATO country who will NATO be calling??

Stupid nonsense. You do not understand the unbelievable successful German peace politics since World War 2. One element of this peace politics is to trust in others and to bring each other into mutual genuine dependencies. Unfortunatelly Russia decided to fight Russia by starting a stupid, senseless and criminal war on Europe in the Ukraine. This changed our peace politics.

No, your problem. Back to the Iron Curtain days.

The US is not delinquent in meeting 2% of GDP. When the EU matches the US in military spending we'll talk again.

1.9% or 2% of the GDP defense costs of Germany in 2024 - who cares? Specially when we pay also a lot of money for Ukrainian civilists. Trump's tyrannical titanic typhoon had never been more than a storm in a teacup.

Meeting the 5% of GDP.

Trump's USA is keeping China at bay, Russia at bay, Iran from getting nukes, North Korea at bay, relative peace in the Middle East with the Abraham Accords, energy prices down, is strengthening NATO, is advancing AI and global trade. Trump is the best president ever, especially after a moron like Joe Biden.

But there is a big difference between Joe Biden and Donald Trump. Joe Biden was president of the USA - and for sure not a bad one - and Donald Trump is only Putin's slave. Indeed is Donald Trump the first president of the USA - as far as I can see - who is an anti-American. You cannot try to be everyones enemy on the whole planet and to get no wounds from such a stupid, senseless and criminal behavior. Even if it's just self-wounding.

1. I agree that cutting taxes does not increase revenue due to increased GDP growth. My argument has been that its the increased BORROWING and spending that increased GDP & revenue, not the tax cuts.

2. That said, Trump's economic plan of $14T of foreign investments, more nuclear powerplants, more cheap fossil energy, AI, less "waste, fraud, and abuse" in government, cutting $1.7T off Biden's budget, and slimming down the "social safety net" to an absolute minimum should get the US back close to a balanced budget.

3. Trump is not "cutting taxes" for the wealthy, their 2017 tax rate is being extended, only tips, OT and SS taxes are new tax cuts, that helps the working class.

4. What are you advocating for? Letting the tax cuts expire and letting the government steal more? Yes the Biden admin was full of criminals.
$190b SAVED!

5. Trump's tax cut extensions do have potential "pay fors" which can easily make up for the $330b CBO shortfall per year:
GDP growth more than the assumed 1.8%
Tariff revenue ($500b??)
The "claw-back" revenue from the above "democrat scams"
DOGE savings, currently $190b
Fed rate cuts

Scoop: Trump admin customs revenue tops $100 billion, boosted by tariffs

Nope.

True. Germany tried to resume normal relations with Russia, the US even invested in Russia, but Putin showed us who he really is, and what his intentions really are. Which proves that strong militaries are essential, the US policy of "peace thru strength" always works.

OK, but Trump got NATO to upgrade their militaries.

Joe Biden was a HORRIBLE president, not just a bad one. Trump is a GREAT president.
Stop lying about Trump and Putin. Prove what you say.
Trump is an "America First" president who is negotiating fair trade deals. Otherwise I have no clue why you think Trump is everyone's "enemy".

No. Barack Obama agreed with his allies 2% in 2024. And this is what most or all NATO members did do.

And the motivation now to do more (¿who really cares about 2035 now?) came from Putin - the master of Trump.

And by the way: As well you personally and Donald Trump - and somehow all US-Americans - have a very limited way to see the real problems in the world. Why I think so? For example you "thought" in Afghanistan it's enough when an Afghan policeman is able to use a gun. But guns are nearly unimportant in this job.

Very few are meeting 2%. Obama's presidency ended in 2016.

Putin was the master of Merkel. Trump sanctioned NordStream2

All I know is that everyone in the world wants US food.

And the 2% agreement was for 2024. You used a picture from 2010.

The 5% fake-agreement now is for 2035.

And in general you can see that no US-president is currently US-president because the US-president is not doing what the US-president said the USA will do. So the Ukraine now not gets Patriot systems - and some other weapons - from the USA as had been promised. And Donald Trump did do so when the Russian summer offensive came to a standstill. Who has such friends as is the USA not needs enemies.

And do you actually get paid for the Trump propaganda or do you really believe the bullshit Trump puts out about himself?

So why doesn't the EU step up and give Ukraine some of their stockpile? The US has responsibilities to meet all over the world.

Not sure what bullshit you are referring to, but the two assassination attempts were real.
What else is real is that Trump is a fantastic president.

Your problem is what you do - and not what we do.

The US has responsibilities to meet all over the world.

You have no responsiblities all over the world. You simply interfere everywhere in the world. And you make promises that you sometimes simply can't keep and, in the meantime, no longer want to keep. Although: Perhaps that has always been the case, if you think of your massive genocides of the ‘first Americans’ in the 19th century. Maybe you're just scared as hell of yourselves.

Not sure what bullshit you are referring to, but the two assassination attempts were real.

My problem in this context is it that I do not know whether it would be my duty to have to kill Donald Trump if I had a weapon and I would be so near that I could kill him. And I never kill any animal if it is not necessary to do so. Life is holy to me. Perhaps you should think about why all German soldiers had no bullets in their guns when Hitler spoke to them.

What else is real is that Trump is a fantastic president.

For Putin.
