Heinz doesn't make Ketchup.........

They make toxic red sludge.
Much like the pink sludge McDonalds passes off as "meat".

Heinz is now on my sh*t list of "never to buy" products.

Better put Hunt's and Del Monte on your list too. They all do it the same way in the central valley of CA. Hunt's/Conagra in Oakdale, CA, Del Monte in Modesto, CA and Heinz in Tracy CA. Most of it is bottled during the season June-Oct., 24-7. But a certain amount of paste is put into drums to be made into ketchup during the winter as demand dictates. I worked one season in one of the plants. Tomato season is BIG in that area.

That said I do miss my grandmother's homemade ketchup.....When she passed I went down into the root cellar and got every jar there....Lasted me a couple years.

Warren Buffet is the largest single shareholder, owning roughly 27.5% of the company, which is owned by Berkshire Hathaway.

I really like Great Value ketchup. A lot better than what Heinz puts out.
Look at the bottle. Then go to any store and look at the bottles of the major brands. Find the one that matches. They come off of the same lines, in the same bottles---they just change labels. Called contract bottling.

Have you tried it? A question not criticism. I have had some really good restaurant ketchups.

Here is another with brown sugar.
My grandmother made homemade ketchup and mustard... how she did it I can't tell you but it was good I can tell your that... I hate McDonalds Ketchup... never liked it... I would by a quarter pounder with no Ketchup and put on Heinz...
