as the left continues to take anything trump does and pretend it's the worst that's ever been done and/or should be impeachable, they tend to also get just as hysterical if you point out previous behavior by their own side, and even past members of the republican side, as trying to deflect, or worse. you get admonished because you can't see this in trump and your attempts to include others is baseless and you're not seeing what is so plain to in fact see.
to me you bring up the other actions to set a baseline of what is and is not acceptable behavior, that's it. not to shift blame and not to dismiss his actions, but if the left didn't care when these very similar if not same actions are done *by the left* where was the outrage?
