My issue with both sides

Sore losers who can't handle the truth have always been a threat to America's democratic elections.

Respect for the law triumphed over that unfortunate reality - until 2020.

Patriotic Americans must be vigilant in 2026.

No way 315,000 votes not signed off is just an over sight…But hey, you stick with your conspiracy theory
Fulton County acknowledged that approximately 315,000 early votes lacked required poll worker signatures, but these votes were legally cast and counted, and the issue was a clerical error, not fraud.

No fraud was found.

You don't disenfranchise 315,000 Americans due to clerical error.

Gee. One wonders why there was a poll worker signature requirement at all.

Your question would properly be addressed to the Republican Secretary of State.
Nah. It was legislative.

It’s purpose was obvious:
  • It creates a record that the ballot was officially processed by authorized staff, reducing the risk of unauthorized ballots entering the system.
315,000 potentially unauthorized ballots.

Yeah. There’s nothing to see here. Move along.

You’re completely unpersuasive.

I realize that you will never admit it, but if those early votes were bogus, and no poll worker was in a position to verify them, then it would not be (as you self-seemingly put it) “disenfranchising” any genuine voters.

315,000 Americans voted properly.

Using a clerical error to disenfranchise them all, bureaucratic nullification, would be improper.

The sore loser keeps lying an whining.

In a January speech before the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, Trump once again claimed that the 2020 election was rigged and said that the individuals involved “will soon be prosecuted for what they did.”...
“Fulton County’s 2020 elections have been examined,” [Fulton County Commission Chair] Robb Pitts said. “They have been re-examined. They’ve been audited. There have been hand counts under a microscope, and in every instance, we come up clean, and any honest review going forward will also be clean,” Pitt said. “These accusations have already been debunked, but here we go again on a merry-go-round.”
Despite the cry baby's hysterics, no one will be prosecuted.

Saying that (again) and proving it are very different things.

What you dismiss as a mere “clerical error” doesn’t qualify as a mere clerical error. It was a requirement the State Legislature passed by law whose purpose was to avoid things like 315,000 bogus ballots being simply mailed in and therefore “counted.”

“Georgia Code Title 21. Elections § 21-2-386

Current as of March 28, 2024

(a)(1)(A) The board of registrars or absentee ballot clerk shall keep safely, unopened, and stored in a manner that will prevent tampering and unauthorized access all official absentee ballots received from absentee electors prior to the closing of the polls on the day of the primary or election except as otherwise provided in this subsection.
(B) Upon receipt of each ballot, a registrar or clerk shall write the day and hour of the receipt of the ballot on its envelope. The registrar or clerk shall then compare the number of the elector's Georgia driver's license number or state identification card issued pursuant to Article 5 of Chapter 5 of Title 40 and date of birth entered on the absentee ballot envelope with the same information contained in the elector's voter registration records. If the elector has affirmed on the envelope that he or she does not have a Georgia driver's license or state identification card issued pursuant to Article 5 of Chapter 5 of Title 40, the registrar or clerk shall compare the last four digits of the elector's social security number and date of birth entered on the envelope with the same information contained in the elector's voter registration records. The registrar or clerk shall also confirm that the elector signed the oath and the person assisting the elector, if any, signed the required oath. If the elector has signed the elector's oath, the person assisting has signed the required oath, if applicable, and the identifying information entered on the absentee ballot envelope matches the same information contained in the elector's voter registration record, the registrar or clerk shall so certify by signing or initialing his or her name below the voter's oath. Each elector's name so certified shall be listed by the registrar or clerk on the numbered list of absentee voters prepared for his or her precinct.”

Is that why they ignore retainer requests for prisoners about to be released?
All ice has to do is pick them up when released. When your term is up it is up. I saw them bragging about catching a lookout for a crime that was in jail since the 90’s and got out in 2018 under Trump. 30 years to prepare to pick the guy up and they didn’t. Had to find him in the wild. Where is the $100B going if they can’t pick up criminals when they are already in jail?

I feel you are an independent because you are uninformed. You arent describing a sanctuary city. Sanctuary cities protect law abiding immigrants not criminals. The Republicans have many uninitiated convinced of so much stupid shit its uncountable. They have uninformed people convinced any policy that help the middle or working class is socialism. They have uninformed people convinced cities are hiding rapists from deportation. They have uninformed people convinced that tolerating gay people is grooming.
Our new Governor (VA) just eliminated all 287 G agreements with border control to honor detainers for illegals. You would like to say that you don't support criminals, but what better place to cull criminals than from our jails? Hypocrisy and it's best. Anti-social behavior is more like it.

As an Independent, I try to move past the name calling, personal attacks and childish behavior I see both sides sling at each other and dig a little deeper into the pros and cons of each side. I won't bore you with the pros, so let's look at my biggest complaint with each side.

Democrats: Get off this sanctuary cities bandwagon. This lame attempt to override federal immigration laws is only dividing our nation and is just, plain illegal. The correct way to deal with this is to go through the legislative and/or judicial steps to change the law. - You don't ignore the law.

Republicans: Stop attacking our electoral system: Donald Trump's own hand-picked judges as well as others on the Federal bench found no evidence of election fraud. The same system that declared Biden the winner in 2020, also declared Trump the winner in 2024. - So, stop attacking.

Those are the facts Jack - Just the facts. :disbelief:

So you're a racist Democrat? :p

Each side
Not both.

CBS is having a townhall with Gov. Wes Moore for those who maybe interested.:soapbox:
Start of his Presidential campaign. Kind of CBS to provide him a forum.

Do yourself a favor and look into things more deeply.

Almost all right wingers, not just independents and progressives know this. Most righties just dont care and use it to justify doing terrible things in the name of being victimized by democracy to justify dismantling it.

Law abiding immigrant don't need protection
Mediocre troll

The Department of Education, more correctly the Education Department, has no influence on the curriculum followed by schools except in the area of Special Education and Reading programs for the poor under Title I, and that is minute and non-specific.

You went through special ed.
I'm sure.

I'm sure.

Department of Education doesn't set curriculum, that's state and local level, however it can influence with grants and other funding. Common core is an example

What special ed boy doesn't get is that
The entire reason for the national department was for the red states to have to teach the delusions that the blue states already taught.
