The entire reason for the Education Department was southern red states not teaching poor and special education students because they had no funding for it. When I graduated from high school in 1978, there was no special education in my high school. You have your history exactly backwards.

That is not true because schools do not carry insurance. Students could come into the school early as long as they were supervised. Did it for many years. Someone lied to you.

We lowered our standards everywhere, and that goes for both ends of the political spectrum. We became a reality teevee country, shallow and celebrity-driven, the world's trailer park.

As an Independent, I try to move past the name calling, personal attacks and childish behavior I see both sides sling at each other and dig a little deeper into the pros and cons of each side. I won't bore you with the pros, so let's look at my biggest complaint with each side.

Democrats: Get off this sanctuary cities bandwagon. This lame attempt to override federal immigration laws is only dividing our nation and is just, plain illegal. The correct way to deal with this is to go through the legislative and/or judicial steps to change the law. - You don't ignore the law.

Republicans: Stop attacking our electoral system: Donald Trump's own hand-picked judges as well as others on the Federal bench found no evidence of election fraud. The same system that declared Biden the winner in 2020, also declared Trump the winner in 2024. - So, stop attacking.

As an independent, I want Proportional Representation, so I can have a proper choice, proper power, proper anything.
