Zone1 What would Jesus do about the GOP plan?

Life isn't fair. Expect to make sacrifices.
You,

A he goat without blemish, have been carefully chosen and prepared as a sacrifice for the expiation of sin. Your slaughter has been dedicated to the Lord my God. Be happy. Many will feast on the flesh stripped from the bone. And the fat trimmed from the flesh and thrown on the fire is a soothing and fragrant offering to the Lord my God.

Is this you not being a religious person paying back the religious in their own coin?

You might be the most triggered poster on these boards.

Life isn’t fair. It’s life inherent unfairness that has you so triggered by religion. But rather than suffering without complaint, you lash out at religion because you perceive religion as the source of your suffering. You can’t control it. It is consuming you because that’s what hate does. Hate consumes.

No credibility? Take a course in literature. If that doesn't work do yourself a favor. Read a chidren's book on how to understand figurative language. Did you get angry with God and cry because the big bad wolf ate grandma?

lol.

You need to read more carefully.

When Jesus healed a blind man first he wrote something on the ground. Then he made a paste of mud and spit and put that in his eyes and then he put his hand over that and asked the man what he saw. First he saw trees, then after Jesus told him to take a harder look he finally saw men. Jesus was teaching the man how to use his imagination in a rational way to understand scripture where men are often represented by trees. So now tell me.

How could the man see anything with mud and spit in his eyes? Duh.

It was a healing of perception not sight. This is irrefutable. Now who has no credibility?
And your failing is you insist EVERYTHING Jesus says is figurative. It's not.

Jesus said "Till now I have been using figures of speech" (John 16:25) Jesus said this after saying all those nutty things like "I came down from heaven", "I will give you living water", "I am the bread of life", "I am the light of the world", "I have not come to bring peace but a sword" "this bead that came down from heaven has become my flesh, given for the life of the world" "Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood will never know what it is to die", "You are like whitewashed tombs full of corruption and dead mens bones," "A time is coming, indeed it is already here, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God and all who listen will come to life" "Go back to John and tell him what you have seen and heard—the blind see, the lame walk, those with leprosy have been cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised to life, and the Good News is being preached to the poor.

Case closed.

Please, just try to be honest. WITH YOURSELF. Did you ever really believe that biologically dead people were literally crawling out of their graves like in a "Night of the Living Dead" horror movie scenario? Shame on you.

Oh, I see, you take some occasions where Jesus said explicitly that He was speaking metaphorically and you extend that to mean He ALWAYS spoke metaphorically and didn't mean anything He said, only what you want Him to have meant. You're making my case for me. Are you claiming that He didn't REALLY refuse to condemn the woman caught in adultery or the woman at the well? Did He NOT mean that the thief on the cross was going to be with Him in Paradise? See, this is what happens when you make these claims, you get completely destroyed.

Of course not, that would be silly, just like you are. Jesus raised one person from the dead, and he was unwrapped as soon as he came out, no zombie there. There were many raised from the dead as the grave had to give up a bunch when He died as well, and they were recognized by their loved ones and families. Hardly zombies. Shame, indeed. Take this opportunity to learn humility, facts and reason.

:auiqs.jpg: You seem to have left out of your speculations the fact that Jesus was living during a time of brutal Roman occupation where there was no such thing as freedom of expression and people were enslaved, imprisoned, tortured and killed for trivial reasons on a daily basis. You couldn't say **** the romans do not listen to them with impunity but you could say do not eat the flesh of swine that do not ruminate and to them it would just be funny.

Lazarus lost faith in Jesus and "died", returned to a pharisaic ritual purification procedure which required him to remain in a windowless room representing a tomb for a week after which he would have a mikveh and could return to the community. After 4 days without washing his body stank. Go figure. When Jesus called out he came out and the command to remove his grave "bindings" was a command to deprogram Lazarus. Simple as that.

Jesus only raised one from the dead? Then did he lie to John when he said the blind see, the lame walk, those with leprosy have been cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised to life? The dead. Not one dead. And the blind seeing the deaf hearing was literal? Seriously? Even though Jesus clearly said "till now I have been using figures of speech" And when he told a dying man to get out of your deathbed stand upright and walk it wasn't a raising of the dead? And when he said to the pharisees "sinners and prostitutes were entering the kingdom of God ahead of you" it wasn't about rising from the dead? Did you never actually read the story?

Do you believe the feeding of the multitude was feeding 5000 people in a desert fish sandwiches out of thin air?

Whether you believe it was a literal raising of the physically dead or just pretending to believe. Shame on you.

Uh, no. Lazarus got sick, died, was buried in a tomb where he stayed until his decaying body started stinking. Then Jesus called him out of the grave and he came out. See, simple. No need to invent things, no need to imagine things to make yourself feel better that you are flat out denying what the Bible says.
Jesus only raised one from the dead?
His disciples did as well.

Yes, it is. No need to believe otherwise or to invent stuff.
Even though Jesus clearly said "till now I have been using figures of speech"
Yeah, and then He was being literal.
And when he told a dying man to get out of your deathbed stand upright and walk it wasn't a raising of the dead?
No, he wasn't dead.

It was very simple. They believed in Him while the Pharisees did not.

No reason to not believe it as literal. People were talking about it for quite a while.

And you refuse to believe the Bible. For shame, indeed.

Enjoy your delusion! You're an actor and lying fraud. The epitome of a talking serpent. Decaying body? :auiqs.jpg: yeah right. Go try and peddle your bullshit somewhere else.

Now **** off.

Ah, the inevitable cut and run.

Ah, the inevitable cut and run.
No.

I see no reason to continue a conversing with a deluded person who can't admit to themselves that they've been deceived. People who have been decaying for days do not come out of their tombs just because a friend said so.

Thats reality.

But they do when the Son of God calls them out of the grave. See, there you go, not only disbelieving the Bible but denigrating Yeshua.

Its the exact opposite. You professing to believe that Jesus claimed to be God in the flesh and the miracles were supernatural demonstrations of divine power over reality not only brings the name of Jesus into disrepute among intelligent people, BECAUSE ANY HUMAN BEING WHO CLAIMS TO BE GOD IS INSANE, it was true then and is true to this day, but it also demeans and degrades your own soul. Only a rube would swallow such pure garbage.

Sucker.

And you have to invent all kinds of imaginary stuff to deny that Jesus claimed to be God in the flesh. I've posted proof many times and you have to replace what He said with what you WISH He had said to make your belief true in your mind.

No. That’s what the evidence shows. You do know what evidence is, right?

Evidence is used to prove things and is used as the basis for believing things.
