Scuba mask sounds like good protection. It will be interesting to see how many lefties here are willing to wear a cheap cloth mask or a surgical mask into a room known to contain a deadly virus.

The masks aren't about stopping the spread of a virus.

They are about proving that with, sufficient fear, the populace can be forced to do anything.

A virus isn't like poison gas where you need protection or it can kill you immediately. I think it's something that causes your body to hurt itself by spreading through it and affecting vital organs. Thus, the idea of the mask is to prevent its spread to others if you have it. To treat it, I think it's the same idea of preventing its spread throughout your body with antibiotics.
