What is bad about socialism?

The tRumplings think that it means dictatorship.

They don't realize that's what they are supporting now.

actually socialism is where the employees (as a whole) are the employers.

How many are for privately owned Army, Navy, Air Force, etc., etc..?

Suddenly collective ownership takes on a whole new light, I bet.

Jeezee what a bad argument. Sure in trying to field a national military you need to have some centralized command but does our government build thier own tanks? Bombers? fighter jets? Rifles? HELL NO .... or they coud never keep up a working supply. The best and brightest in private industry has to take care of all that or we would then field a half assed and backwards/crappy military like Russia.
Not eaxactly sure what argument you are making here.

Since the term "socialism" gets thrown around a lot by people who don't know the meaning of it, here's a definition:

Any of various theories or systems of social organization in which the means of producing and distributing goods is owned collectively or by a centralized government that often plans and controls the economy.

Now we can discuss what is bad about it.
Everything. You steal money from those who earned it, and spread it around to a bunch of people who didn't, and the ruling elite make out like bandits.

Ideas so great that socialists have murdered over 150,000,000 to show them how great it is.

Is there an actual clown college?

WHy did you ask this?

Corn subsidies are to protect American corn and those two farmers work to bring in the harvest.....That is not socialism. Because those two guys do not work for a collective, they routinely over produce to make more money to buy equipment, fertilizer, help, tractor parts, etc. etc. etc. A socialist work force will result in low harvests because they don't have to be excellent, they just have to be marginal. Socialism marginalizes everyone.

Every government has a degree of dictatorship but under socialism and communism human liberty and freedoms are necessarily degraded.

So Socialism is centrally controlled by a government bureaucracy.
No, it is a system where the means of production, distribution and exchange are held in common cause, usually through the agency of the state.

Happy to help.

So, then, under capitalism human liberty and freedoms are degraded unnecessarily? That would fit my observations. It is done for profit, not out of necessity.

Oh please. Our Constitution allows that, and we aren't even "socialist". And it's not considered "theft" under the law, presently or historically, no matter how much the uninformed say it is.
yes it is theft and all the informed intelligent people know that

In order to give the means of production to the workers you have so steal it from the owners

You haven't substantiated that any of those things are the result of "socialism". Maybe some regimes which were considered "socialist" engaged in those things. I'm not sure what you're getting at.
All of them produce those results

Sorry, 'common cause' is meaningless. It can mean anything one wants it to mean. Who controls the 'agency of the State?'

Yes, also you can't give the means of production to all the workers. There would have to be some form of bureaucracy to keep everything in line. Ownership is a matter of pride which is strictly forbidden in the Socialist system where everyone will be equally miserable........Except for the bureaucrats that is.

What a load of shit. You very obviously know nothing at all. :yapyapyapf:
History has proven me right.

How could you possibly force socialism on a populace without an oppressive authoritarian government?

Socialist countries fortify their borders to prevent people from fleeing in droves. The USA fortifies it's borders to keep people out. Why do you suppose that is?

There is a huge difference between social contract and socialism.
