If you read the rest of my post, you'd see that the point is countries that lean more towards capitalism than socialism fare the best in terms of growth and quality of life.

Since the term "socialism" gets thrown around a lot by people who don't know the meaning of it, here's a definition:

Any of various theories or systems of social organization in which the means of producing and distributing goods is owned collectively or by a centralized government that often plans and controls the economy.

Now we can discuss what is bad about it.

If we were robots, socialism would be fine. Our emotions and greed ensure socialism will never work. You can't

change human nature.

Which is probably why capitalism, kept in check by common sense regulations, has proven to be the best form of government/economy in human history.
