Trump is keeping his MAGA promise unlike Obama’s
try RETURN AMERICA TO ITS ROOTS AND THE CONSTITUTION.I'm going to bring this one forward as I never saw a good answer.
Now that Trump is President (and won't be running again), MAGA is seen as the way forward for the party.
I don't agree. It's still a sales pitch. Pure and simple. There were a few specifics teased out of this thread, but not many.
Let's hear it. Follow the rules.
What do you mean "try".try RETURN AMERICA TO ITS ROOTS AND THE CONSTITUTION.
the "try" was instructions to you. English grammar is not difficult, did you sleep thru junior high? What do you mean "try".
Nothing I hear in MAGA points to this (some would say it is implied.....I am asking why there is no specific MAGA "doctrine" that spells anything out).
Do you mean a different slogan or do you mean to say this is what MAGA stands for?
And let me say thanks for responding to this thread.
As I continue to read the other threads, I see the same conflicts played out over and over and over again.
There is no fundamental understanding of positions in my estimation. Not even an attempt.
If folks were to address the questions in this thread, it would make those conversations much easier.
Are you talking about the Navajos, etc?try RETURN AMERICA TO ITS ROOTS.....
no, fool, the roots of our founders, our constitution and judeo/christian principles. The native americans did not have a country, they did not own any land, the lived on the land as migrant tribes. foolish comment from you.Are you talking about the Navajos, etc?
My opinion:I call MAGA a sales pitch. Just like I call Build-Back-Better a sales pitch.
If MAGA means Make American Great Again, it means we were once great.
Can somewhat tell me when that was, what made us "great" and when you'll know we've gotten back to that point ?
I contend that people (because I've been cornering them on this topic) don't know what they mean when they say MAGA.
Nobody I've talked to can give me specifics.
One person I talked to said:
Well, in 1960, we didn't have the illegal problem we have now. So I asked what the problem is now (in terms of numbers). Didn't have it. How about 1960...didn't have it. I decided to forego the easy follow up question and move on.
So I am going to say, I think America is great now. We have A LOT of issues, for sure. But I still love living here and am grateful for my freedoms and liberties.
I see MAGA as a sales pitch and an implication that we've lost something (but nobody can tell me what). And I am not so sure American was any greater then than it is today.
Let me know what you think.
Rule #1: Provide specifics.
Rule #2: If you want to argue generalities, you have to be very clear on what they are and the basis for them.
Rule #3: No commentary on the "other side"
Israel is an ally, do we always agree? no. bibi and Trump understand each other. My opinion:
MAGA started out meaning "Make America Great Again." I had always considered to be synonymous with "America First." I now see MAGA actually meaning MIGA or "Make Israel Great Again." I'm still in the "America First" camp and have distanced myself from the MAGA deception.
That's a huge mistake made by many Americans who get their "news" from the government or the mainstream media. Israel is NOT an ally. Israel is a bloodsucking leech and couldn't exist without $Billions upon $Billions in American tax dollars being shoveled to them annually.Israel is an ally, do we always agree? no. bibi and Trump understand each other.
you are very wrong, but it's not worth my time to correct you. That's a huge mistake made by many Americans who get their "news" from the government or the mainstream media. Israel is NOT an ally. Name 5 significant things Israel has done for the benefit of America/Americans. They routinely get America into THEIR wars then sit back while our men die in combat.
you are very wrong, but it's not worth my time to correct you.
nope, but enjoy your fantasy.
**** you.no, fool,
O.K.the "try" was instructions to you. English grammar is not difficult, did you sleep thru junior high?
What about spelling? Is that difficult for you? Did you sleep through junior high?the "try" was instructions to you. English grammar is not difficult, did you sleep thru junior high?
America is great when we’re moving away from government dependence and toward liberty and personal responsibility for one’s own life. Making it great again means reversing liberal policies that lead to a welfare state and the mass fraud we’re seeing in Minnesota.I call MAGA a sales pitch. Just like I call Build-Back-Better a sales pitch.

O.K. Great concept.America is great when we’re moving away from government dependence and toward liberty and personal responsibility for one’s own life. Making it great again means reversing liberal policies that lead to a welfare state and the mass fraud we’re seeing in Minnesota.
My contention is that America is great when it’s moving in the direction of personal liberty. That would manifest in shrinking taxation, shrinking government welfare programs, and fewer regulations. Obviously we can’t exist in a state of anarchy, but we can unravel the era of regression into a top-down government controlled populace.O.K. Great concept.
My request is this.
If we have an effort to MAGA......then
America was once great.
It is not now great.
Correct?
If it was once great....how was that determined. I ask for specific metrics.
Otherwise.....how will you know when you've made America Great Again? What will tell you that you have arrived.
I would be O.K. with fuzzy metrics, but they should be explained. As it is, nobody knows and no one is saying.
It's a lot easier to give Trump all this credit and say he is keeping promises to MAGA when the goals posts have not been moved.....they never existed.
BTST: The left can use that same dearth of metrics to whine and complain and use stupid polls to show that America is not going in a good direction.....again, all making it up on the fly.
How would you measure that?My contention is that America is great when it’s moving in the direction of personal liberty. That would manifest in shrinking taxation, shrinking government welfare programs, and fewer regulations. Obviously we can’t exist in a state of anarchy, but we can unravel the era of regression into a top-down government controlled populace.
It wasn't.If we have an effort to MAGA......then America was once great.
Hollywood determined that.If it was once great....how was that determined.
