I would have you consider three things.Me, I went from being a MAGA diehard to sometimes I like him and sometimes I don't depending on what he is or isn't doing at the moment (I definitely support him in the war) so I would call that normal behavior not having TDS. For the people who don't like Trump at all though, I think that there is a fine line from saying eh that you don't really care for the guy to being completely psychotic and constantly making up stories just to bash him. That's the way I see it.
First, This "Derangement Syndrome" tag didn't start with Trump. It's been around a while, and the Dems used it when Obama was criticized. The Right said some pretty crazy stuff about him, too, including the "anti Christ" crap we're seeing now. Tribalism has been getting worse, but it didn't just start with Trump. It's just a partisan defense mechanism.
Second, as you know, this has ever been an either/or, Left vs. Right thing. There are MANY conservatives who have come out publicly against him, INCLUDING his former staffers, former cabinet members, former attorneys, former Generals and others. Now we're seeing people like MTG and many podcasters break away. Trumpsters refuse to admit that glaring fact.
And third, and most important to me, I've said many times that this is not even ABOUT Trump. This has always been about who we are as a country, our morality, and how sick a country must be to toss its morality, decency, critical thinking and even RELIGION into the toilet like this. And we see it manifest in the breakup of families and relationships from coast to coast.
Screaming TDS says more about the person screaming than it does about the target. The Dems have done similar dumb things. Trumpsters think it works, because they're not thinking, they're emoting.
