We Need Socialism.

No.

It's called freedom. Get used to it.

Sorry. That's nuts. I don't care how nice the meal service is, I'll pass on being a prisoner.
Anything wrong with this?

So 19 American families have the same net worth ($2. 6 trillion) as 110 million Americans–no problem, there’s an app that resolves that.

Conflicts traverse a familiar landscape.
Those dissatisfied with the status quo seek change, and those content with the status quo seek to distract, placate or bribe the discontented without relinquishing any of their power and perquisites.

The greater the concentration of wealth and power in a ruling elite, the greater the opportunities for delusion and catastrophic misjudgment. The concentration of power and wealth have reached extremes throughout the world, and so the stage has been set for miscalculations, clashes of ego, delusional confidences and beliefs and desperate gambles by those who can’t afford to lose.

Maybe Toddstertraitor could chime in.

Maybe, maybe not. Depends on how they acquired and how they maintain their wealth. I'm not sure what "app" you're referring to.

We need socialism

......as long as we are 16, still living with Mom and Dad and have never had a job.

ie .... as long as we see the government as our caretaker (and our master).

Under Hitler and the National Socialists, the German economy went from ruined to the greatest economy in the world!
And then back to this in just 12 years

Foolish. No billionaire acquires that level of wealth purely on hard work. Stop believing fairy tales.

Maybe not. If they stealing, they should be prosecuted. But if they make their billions via voluntary trade - that's on the people who gave them their money.

Not communism, but socialism. There is a difference. For instance, Hitler and the National Socialists were against the communists. (And for VERY good reasons) Under Hitler and the National Socialists, the German economy went from ruined to the greatest economy in the world! Also, the only to defeat the Chinese communists is with a socialist system. But the capitalists cringe at the thought. Why? Because there is no way a for profit company could compete with a government run company. For one reason, profit would be taken out of the equation. Also, we could make anything the Chinese make for less than they can. Because our country is rich in natural resources. As long as the government can provide the necessities that are needed to live, such as housing, food and clothing, things can be made for a very cheap price. But here is a cartoon from 1897 that shows the problem when it comes to, for example, housing. (How things haven't changed)

Though he was an asshole, Muammar Gaddafi took a socialist approach when it came to housing. He required by law that every citizen had a place to live. He also made it illegal to own more than one house. Another point is that here in the U.S., the working poor on average spend around 55% of their income on rent. To that add the cost of food, clothing, utilities, insurance, etc., that doesn't leave people with much else. Also each year around 500,000 families go bankrupt due to medical expenses. It's all a pile of shit that only socialism can lift us out of. You should also consider what these two people had to say.

I missed where FDR talked about responsibilities. The need for socialism isn't because of the failure of capitalism but the failure of individuals to live responsibly.

Money, as an "expression of labor" does the work for the rich. All the rich need do is oversee the labor that money produces.

Well try this on for size, asshole. Around 500,000 families go bankrupt each year here in the U.S. due to medical bills. Nearly 45,000 people in the U.S. die every year just because they can't afford medical treatment. One of them was my own dad. He was having a heart attack and drove to the nearest hospital. But they didn't take his kind there. So he had to drive to another hospital. It killed him. Also, there used to be a popular musician out there named Jewel. She had to go to the hospital once because she was in a bad way. Basically, she was sent out to the parking lot to die. But a doctor happened to walk by and took pity on her. I can only hope that you are in a position to get your wish for death by such capitalist means.

There are nearly three hundred and fifty million in the USA. Half a million is chump change.

Did the 19 families steal it from the 110 million Americans? How?

Maybe gippertwat can stop sobbing for a minute and explain?

You’re such an idiot.

Stop swallowing all that semen from Bibi and Trump. It’s making you even more ignorant.

Spoken like a true left winger.

High and mighty, condescending and ignorant.

Yep, you check the boxes.

That's why nobody takes you seriously.

You want something to take seriously? Point out any particular point I made in any of my threads that you think is wrong. And tell me why you think it is wrong.

So did slaves.

You trying to take us back?

Just how stupid are you. Slavery never ended. And here in the U.S., it just got a different label. For example, 34% of working Americans say they live from paycheck to paycheck. As for this next figure, the numbers are all over the place. But as far as I could find, 70% of wage earners in the U.S either participate in medicare or SNAP. (For most, probably both) Also, here in the U.S. the bottom 50% of Americans have around 4 trillion in wealth. The top 50% of Americans have around 156 trillion in wealth. 4 trillion vs 156 trillion. Tell me there isn't a shitload of slavery to blame for that. As for the working poor, this website should help.

Choose to work paycheck to paycheck......

But as far as I could find, 70% of wage earners in the U.S either participate in medicare or SNAP.
No, you moron. Your link says:

To learn more about the people who use these programs, we analyzed employment data from 11 states and Census data.

We found:

About 70% worked full time

That's talking about the people who use the program.

Man are you stupid.

Yep, I don't like it either. But as authors have said repeatedly. If you took all the money we have and evenly distributed it....it would take 10 to 20 years for the rich to be rich again.

Why worry about what others have? If I have a million dollars....I'm set. I don't need 100 million.

Tell me there isn't a shitload of slavery to blame for that.
No slaver to blame for that.

Awww......did I wuin you day?
