1) People on food stamps buy high-end meat at Whole Foods when they SHOULD be buying ground beef at Safeway.Food stamps are abused.
For a family of five, it’s over $1000 a month.Just for context.

Blue cities burn.
I'll bring the popcorn.
Somehow, we see no improvements. New strategies from the educated elitists may be needed.Horse shit on the $1000 per month.
It will be more because yes…
Wait for it…
There are more people to feed.

So, you object to foreign aid so much that you are willing to starve children to protest it?republicans control congress, in case you havent noticed.![]()
It is Democrats who are blocking SNAP and WIC. Starving children instead of passing a clean CR so those hungry kids can be leverage in the Democrats' fight for illegal border crossers, the reluctant to work, and PBS.When you yank the carpet out from under someone with little or no notice, you have to understand they may react. It could be food stamps, it could be tariffs, it could be health insurance, it could be international military assistance.
That's what this administration has done since it started its secondseasonterm. Presumably they have decided that ripping off every single band aid at the same time will result in something positive in the long run.
They will, in turn, react with heavy-handed authoritarianism. They have planned for that as well. We'll see what that looks like. This is what America voted for -- whether it realized it or not -- so this is what it gets. Elections have consequences.
Well, duh…I said the $1000 (which is non-taxable, so it’s equivalent to a person having to EARN $1,300) is for a family of five. Plenty baby mamas have three and four kids before they’re 30.Horse shit on the $1000 per month.

For every "White" Riot there are dozens of "Black" Riots... even during difficult times...Considering that red states and republican voters overwhelmingly use SNAP I will be curious to see which cities are the ones to burn first.
well when you put it that way.........We need to put a stop to this system.
Being a special ed teacher in a largely Hispanic district, a large percent of my students' families are on the dole.Well, duh…I said the $1000 (which is non-taxable, so it’s equivalent to a person having to EARN $1,300) is for a family of five. Other people work just part-time - enough to keep food stamps going - while they still live with THEIR mothers. It is not uncommon for a 40-year-old unmarried woman to have five children ranging from 2 years old to 22 years old, with the 22-year old not working at all because SHE has a baby, and the 18-year-old working part-time only. The multiple fathers are paying nothing, and all seven are on food stamps.
We need to put a stop to this system.
I favor steady capital formation by the middle class. The lower class needs to improve their lifestyle, mainly their health. The rich sow capital and reap profits. The middle class is their primary target customer. If the middle class saves just a bit more instead of buying every shiny new thing the rich produce more capital will accumulate there and less will flow back to the rich. Consider that the black community has buying power of over a $Trillion/yr, which they largely spend on shiny thing. Little is saved so the black community is always struggling to achieve the capital needed to advance. In theory that is how it is supposed to work, but what you missed is that inflation keeps the mid/lower incomes from gaining or even keeping up with the wealthy. The top 10% or so have investments that always gain on inflation, while those in the lower 50% live "hand to mouth" barely staying solvent. I'm fine helping out the lower 50% with ACA subsidies paid for with spending cuts like the DOGE savings. The top tax rate should be 40%, and the capital gains tax break should be eliminated to start paying down the $38T debt.

Biden's inflation cost US families $11,400 in buying power. Most people can't buy a house or afford healthcare insurance. Family formation and birthrates are falling off a cliff. Yet the top 10 % are gaining wealth. Its a house of cards unless something is fixed.I favor steady capital formation by the middle class.
