What put him there? I think there were folks working behind the scenes. If “lone nuts” are motivated to kill public officials -- which they aren’t because paranoia dictates that the guy they kill will be replaced by someone just as untrustworthy -- we’d have assassinations every day here because we have far more “lone nuts” today than back then, far more weaponry radily available with much more effective range, and we have far more distrust and misinformation in the public sphere that would motivate someone so easily manipulated.

President Kennedy was indeed struck twice as far as we can tell. Once in the back (first shot that caused him to put his hands up to his throat) and the second shot to his head which sent a portion of his skull/brain flying backwards onto the rear of the vehicle. The second shot also forces him backwards and to his left.

If Oswald killed the President then he had to have been in front of President Kennedy and to the President’s right. Neat trick since he was seen moments later AT the book depository.

The Governor was also struck. So, so far, that was at least three shots.

A fourth shot took a chunk out of the curb not too far ahead of the motorcade.

With that 4th shot, we also see that there had to have been at least two shooters.

Oswald’s rifle (bolt action) could barely be fired three times at all in the established time frame. But Oswald, who had gotten “Maggie’s drawers” while in the Marines (meaning he had missed a stationary target, entirely, in several shots), wasn’t likely to do that kind of shooting especially in that time frame.
