I go against most teaching about this. My conviction for many years is that the definition of "fornication" as simple premarital sex is one that is found in an uber-modern dictionary and not the Biblical text. As such, the notion of refraining from it is a societal or cultural convention only, albeit one that carries with it the requirement of marriage ASAP thereafter.

So there's technically the freedom to go ahead before then, but couples sure as heck had better be prepared to tie the knot later.

Because the point I am making is that an atheist such as yourself can't possibly expect that everyone should follow his version of moral. That moral to you means preference. As in it's a preference to butt fuck other men. Or it's a preference to kill the life in a womb.

At the end of the day atheism is predicated on only two things; the satisfaction of material needs and satisfaction of primitive impulses. There's no morality in atheism. There's only what you prefer.

How many partners does it take to be promiscuous? Most of my peers lived together before marriage, I did, and I'm only a little younger than you. I strongly encouraged my daughter to live with her boy friend before they married since it carries no sigma anymore and probably avoids many a divorce.

That’s just dumb. Like unmarried partners don’t break up. What’s the difference? The woman is left with the children? Married or it men beat up their women partners. Marriage is about bringing God into the covenant of marriage and making a godly commitment to your partner.

In my cases there were no children involved during the cohabitations, that is a very different issue. If my daughter had told me she was ready to have kids I would have strongly suggested she get married first. If you can't commit to marriage why do you think you could commit to raise children together?

They are welcome to do so but a child is a lifetime commitment, marriage, alas, less so. If two people can't make the lessor commitment why would anyone believe they will make the major one.

For some, marriage is definitely a lifetime commitment--nothing less. It's a matter of government deciding that what God joined together, indeed, government can tear asunder. And has.

If you are a virgin before marriage these days, something is wrong. Not everyone is compatible sexually. Lots of duds out there. Don’t marry a dud, it won’t end well.
