The Sexual Revolution

Hey, given that Hector usually likes to cite debunked racial studies from the 1970s, getting something from 2005 is actually progress for him.

And that became a problem when HIV and other STDs became more prevalent.
HIV and syphilis was primarily a gay male disease
Syphilis is more common among gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men (MSM) primarily due to sexual network dynamics, high-risk sexual practices (such as condomless anal sex), and increased transmission probability. The concentration of cases within this community is driven by multiple partners, the use of apps to find partners, and in some cases, lower condom use due to "prevention fatigue" or the effectiveness of HIV treatments (like PrEP) which may lead to reduced fear of HIV.

  • Sexual Network Dynamics: Syphilis spreads rapidly within concentrated, interconnected sexual networks, meaning a few cases can quickly lead to an outbreak.
  • High Transmission Probability: Syphilis is transmitted via skin-to-skin contact, not just fluids, making it easy to spread through anal or oral sex.
    • HIV Co-infection: A significant portion of syphilis cases occurs in men who are also HIV-positive, and the presence of syphilis can make acquiring or transmitting HIV much easier.
    • Prevention Fatigue & Social Factors: Lower rates of condom use, often attributed to reduced fear of HIV, can increase the risk of other STIs. Additionally, stigma and the use of substances like methamphetamine can contribute to risky sexual encounters.

Regular screening is often recommended for MSM to control the spread of syphilis, particularly because it can be asymptomatic in its early stages.

Syphilis cases rise sharply in women as CDC reports an "alarming" resurgence nationwide

Nearly a quarter of syphilis cases in the U.S. were being diagnosed in women in 2022, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported Tuesday, in a sign that the nation's "alarming" epidemic of the sexually transmitted infection is increasingly spreading among heterosexual couples.

The number of syphilis cases reported in women climbed 19.5% in 2022.

Ask any high school kid.

I have three kids. They tell me what's going on.

Kids are starting to have sex in middle school.
.

So, what does that have to do with the fact that there are people who choose not to have sex before marriage?

.

I very, very much hope you are right. I am aware the "worm has turned" - but not confident it is unable to rise back up.
The world went batshit crazy between 2020 and 2025. Absolutely nuts.
And the trans fad was very much a part of the insanity. True insanity.

You think the bat shit crazy ended in 2025.

I'm not optimistic.

When I was a young man, I had three goals in life:
1) Get laid
2) Get laid
3) Get laid

Luckily, I was ... ummmm ... rather proficient at it.
I am not defending the practice of sex before marriage or criticising those who wish to wait. In fact, I can kind of admire it because it does take willpower and a commitment to something greater than merely base urges.

I do have some concerns, however, emanating from articles I've read and things I've seen that indicate that far too many teens and twenty-somethings are socially awkward because all their personal interactions are through their damn phone. They don't have a clue how to really deal one-on-one with people, particularly those of the opposite sex (yes, Virginia, there are only two sexes!).
This era of social awkwardness may not be quite the blessing some people think it is.
We shall see as the years go by ...

Literal insanity pushed by very dark, evil forces.

Meh - they are choosing video games instead... and 1 in 5 think they are gay.
Actually, that's a great thing.

These young women need to let young men know where things stand.

Young men are worthless.

Young women, middle aged women, and elderly women make the world go round.

How many fathers did you piss off?

No, that fad has died, thank God
Young men are so hooked on porn, I don't know if they care to even try.

Which is good for the girls.....until they have to marry one of those idiots (for lack of choices).

Men today are a sad group.

Survey: More Teens Saving Sex for Marriage

It does not pay to take anything at face value anymore.

  • For instance, I'd bet it likely that if you were to backtrack the sources of this research and funding for it, and perhaps much of the impetus for putting abstinence in girl's heads, you would find the Chinese involved. One of their stated ways of destroying an enemy is by crippling it from the inside-- what better way than to convince girls to have fewer children.

  • If you were to look closer, it would not surprise me to find that more of the girls into this are WHITE, meanwhile, minorities and immigrants are lights out with 12 kids still per family. Change the demographics of America. Another Chinese ploy.

  • Beyond all of this, it also points to another troubling trend--- young women no longer feeling any need for a man, husband, supporter, nor family, plus the decreasing sexual attractiveness, appeal, and masculinity of the modern progressive boy/man.
