All of these posts equate to why it's a wise idea to get married later in life. Take time to work, save, build up financial stability. The idea of getting married in one's twenties, starting from scratch, is a bad idea. 35 is a good age. Even 38.

My son married at 18. 18 years later, they are still going strong.

My daughter married at 19 and did not live with her first husband before marriage and they divorced. She lived with her current husband for a year, and they are 6 years in and still going strong.

My youngest is 30 and she has never married, does not live with her boyfriend, aged 34 (never married) but they intend to live together when he transfers with the Army., and then get married after a short time.

My wife and I did not move in together until we were married, and we are at 42 years this March.

One member at least in these couples were military. It all depends on who you are and what kind of relationship you want.
