You should be using science to make your argument to me and the science thay minors are capable of making these decisions with the guidance of trusted adults.
Science says the brains of young people are not fully developed, yet you want to grant them the authority to make permanent, life-long decisions about their bodies that they may live to regret. Why do we prevent children from buying tobacco products? Because they can't make a fully informed decision about using them and will likely harm themselves. Let these children mature, then they can make a fully informed decision about what's best for them.

This isn't anything new. Some States allow minors to get vaccines against the wishes of their parents, get blood transfusions or surgeries despite their parents maybe having religious objections. Just because they're a parent doesn't mean they're a trusted adult from the perspective of the child. Some parents are bigots or religiously close minded to modern medicine.
Vaccines - life saving, well understood treatments.
Blood transfusions and surgeries - life saving, well understood treatments.
Altering children's bodies to appear more feminine or masculine - not lifesaving, totally elective, and with poorly understood long-term effects. The fact that you conflate them is troubling.
We don't seek to remove parents from the decision-making process if they're advocating their children be altered when they shouldn't be. If parents can be removed from the decision because they object, they should be removed from the decision if the doctor says there is no good reason to subject the child to the process and there are better therapies that should be used. Trans is very rare, so a parent who presents more than one child as being trans should be removed from the decision-making process. And, to just throw this in there, a parent who wants to sue a veterinarian because he refuses to examine a child who identifies as a cat should also be removed from decisions about their child. Children are notorious for changing their minds about a lot of things, so let them grow up and make an adult decision, not a trendy one. How many have altered their bodies, thinking it will make them feel better, only to wake up and realize they don't feel any better?
Well see now you're delving into the cosplay of your peers and imagining yourself in a position to determine healthcare treatments.
Interesting that you conflate sharing an opinion with "imagining yourself in a position to determine healthcare treatments". I must ask you, do you have a reading comprehension problem?
Are you cosplaying as a Doctor or Fortune Teller?
I'm giving an opinion that's based on medical advancements over the last century or so. Go back a mere 100, 150 years and look at medical practices we consider barbaric today, especially in the field of treating mental illnesses, then look at what we're doing to children today who simply don't feel right in their own bodies. I do predict that it won't be long before removing a healthy young girl's breasts or a healthy young boy's penis and testicles will be viewed as equally barbaric as shoving a metal rod into their brain.
