People died, families suffered. I added my comments on this post. I've forgotten we were in the coffee shop. My apologies. I just don't think the Mexican Navy ship tragedy is one that should be mocked.

Let me know when they compensate all the families who have had members killed due to Mexico Aiding and abetting criminals into our country
You know I love you MOTS, but this is a topic way too political/controversial to be in the Coffee Shop. Thanks for understanding.

I have a secondary no cost marketplace health plan thru Humana. I signed up specifically for the basic dental included in the plan. They or I assume their contractors kept calling me to set up an in home annual health check and physical........ The last call the caller claimed to need to know about some past medical issues I had. I had to flat out tell them I wasn't interested and not to call me again. Pretty sure someone will call me again sometime in the not so far future, this isn't my first go around with them.

Interesting. We have our supplemental insurance (over Medicare) with Presbyterian. Their dental plan sucks big time but so far I've received more coverage than the small premiums we pay for it. We won't use Humana because they require hospitalization/doctors with Lovelace and we prefer Pres--a problem you don't have with the VA--but does Humana charge you extra for the dental coverage?

Humana is definitely more universal than Pres that is restricted to New Mexico and only parts of that.

Started the day at 0630 Lowering Flags to half staff. In front of my house, in 2 cemeteries, and in front of City hall. Got into American Legion Uniform and played MC for ceremonies in the cemeteries and then had light lunch at the Legion Then went around raising the flags back to full staff. I'm whupped.

No, the plan is free for me.

But your service to your country and comrades in arms is noted and appreciated Ollie. Thank you for giving so much of yourself for something that should be important and appreciated by all Americans.

My brother finally called me back. He was visiting his daughter and her husband in Georgia and one of our other brothers in Alabama and just got home last night. His radiation therapy is over but he still has some irritation and swelling. Otherwise he's doing well.

Good news. Do you want to keep him on the vigil list?

15th post
Here I am again awake at 2:30 in the morning with leg cramps. Seems like almost every night now giving me between 4.5 and 5.5 hours of uninterrupted sleep....... Yes, I take potassium so it's something else, possibly diabetes nerve damage but just as likely due to my exercising. It always runs from the outside of my right foot to just under the outside of my right knee and can take a minute to ease up. Even after it eases up going back to bed means it just happens again within an hour. Needless to say I'm not a happy camper..........

Went back to bed around 4 am and got another 3 hours of sleep with a total of 7.5 hours. I feel much better....... :)

Again with the disclaimer that I have no medical credentials--I haven't even played a medical professional on TV or stayed in a Holiday Inn lately--I think potassium doesn't work all that well to alleviate night leg cramps. What does work imperfectly for me, but seems to help reduce the number and intensity of events, is magnesium which is cheap to buy. If you can afford it, or your doctor maybe could prescribe it so the VA would cover it, magnesium glycinate is reported to be much easier on your stomach and not only reduces night cramps but improves sleep for most who take it.

The magnesium glycinate is pricey though and since the regular magnesium doesn't bother me, I take that. Like less than $7 for a 90-day-supply on Amazon.

You might run it by your doc and if there's no reason not to take it, it could help.
