US womens soccer star declines to join US womens national team over pandering to homosexuals

Are you sane? I never mentioned the Bible or the Old Testament. You did. Possibly you need the straw man Bible because that's where all your talking points are. Back up and make your case without the Bible.

But you are repeating this idiotic crap over and over. If it isn't from the bible, where do you get your crap from? Are you sane?

Your assertion in #178 that "Gay folks, being different than any other folks have to be handled with care. Everyone has to be proud of gay. They need that shoved down their throats along with their pride shirts shows your violent nature.
Leave people alone or throwing gays off rooftops will gain a whole new popularity.

There you go again with the violence. Nobody has demanded that you do anything, moron. Nobody is demanding that you stand for the national anthem or anything else. I haven't heard of any LGBTs presenting a list of "demands." Go back to your world of dildos and your preoccupation with somebody's butt. The only person who seems to be discussing their "preferred sexual proclivities" in public seems to be you. Pretty much it is a custom for people of all sexual orientations not to discuss their intimate activities in public. I've had LGBT friends and work colleagues for decades, and none has ever discussed intimate sexual details with me, and I, in turn, do not discuss mine and do not ask anyone about their's.

Why don't you clean up your act and go back to watching your favorite porn.
You have some fondness for the gay lifestyle. Keep it to yourself. Don't demand decals or shirts or anything else. Leave people alone.

Gays are in the same category as those who fuck children, goats, dead bodies and toasters. It's a perversion. A depravity. In a much better time it was and still is a mental illness.

Nobody is demanding anything. If you can't stand your neighbors-move. You are one sick puppy. Go experiment with your dildo, and don't run out of batteries.
Dildos have their purpose. With a little tinkering it would make a great lesbian gift. One that delivers a real "charge" if you know what I mean.

If my neighbors told me to fly their flag, they would only do it one time.

Asshole, nobody's telling you to fly any flag. Once again, you speak of violence. What is your immediate problem? You have a very filthy mouth most of the time. Uncivilized people like you are the ones sending the U.S. down the toilet.
With gays able to dictate to others and make demands, the US belongs in the toilet. It's appropriate.

Saying that all are welcome somehow involves sexual orientation and "social engineering"?

... Blah-Blah-Blah

That's not what I said at all ... I said playing soccer doesn't require people to wear LGBT jerseys.

Some people, like you, want to suggest that's not true.
I'll ask you again ... What part of the Official Soccer Rulebook covers required sexual orientation, desired social engineering or wearing LGBT jerseys?

.

It is NOT an "LGBT jersey.," numbskull. That's the point. It signifies that we are all in this together regardless of who we are. What's wrong with recognizing our diverse backgrounds when we all come together as one nation with one national team, which plays for the entire nation.

That this woman can't handle this simple concept, that's her thing. Let her stay where she is.
Obviously we are not all gay and in gayness together. It's sex, keep it to yourself.

In other words ... You don't have to wear a LGBT jersey to play soccer.
You can say that without adding a bunch of social engineering garbage ...

I don't really care who you hate ... Or what you cannot handle.
It's fine to recognize diversity over equality if you feel the need.

None of that is necessary to play the game.
Your petty desires to co-op the popularity of one thing in attempts to promote something unnecessary and irrelevant ...
Is your problem ... Don't try and suggest it should be mine.

.
You miss the point in spectacular style. They want to show that the game is open and inclusive. Everybody is welcome.

Obviously some are uncomfortable with this but you will never please everybody. The football associations have a responsibility to promote the game to everybody in their countries. Gays are under- represented in football because historically they have not been made welcome. Probably by primitives like yourself and the other characters on this thread.

Its a good thing Morally and ethically it is a good thing.

She plays in a team.

Team work is all about working with people who are different. In soccer you have strikers, defenders, midfielders, goalkeepers.

Now all of a sudden she can't cope playing with people who are different?

Then fuck her.
She has no problem playing on a team with different people. She won't advertise being gay by wearing a gay friendly jersey.

Good for her. It is time that nomal people stood up for themselves. She's not gay and should not be forced into advertising that this is something she approves of.

So what happens if one of her teammates is gay?

How's that going to work?
She doesn't have to be proud of a teammates gayness. She is refusing to wear a gay pride jersey. She would be forced to advertise that she is proud of homosexuality when she clearly is not. Even as bad and as corrupt as our courts are, I doubt if they would demand someone take such a personal way of advertising an approval they don't have.

I can't envision black people demanding that white players wear a jersey that says proud to be black when they clearly aren't.

Okay, so, the right think that football players should be FORCED to stand for the national anthem, but don't think soccer players should be forced to wear the team jersey..... Is that about right?

The shirt doesn't say the player is proud to be gay. The shirt looks like this

ussoccer_pride.0.jpg

It has a rainbow on it. Oh, wow.

That's the colors of the shirt.
the "team" should not be picking out one "minority" over others.

where's the cross? where's an ankh? where's the fist in the air? hell, since we're now in total support mode, where's the swasitka?

if you're going to force people to wear this shirt then you are forcing your viewpoints upon them - and i know based on experience - you would not allow that. you would go ape-shit-batty if you were forced to wear something you didn't believe in and stage some protest to run people over in the streets in rage.
The rainbow flag includes everybody. So those examples you gave are already welcome.

You have to be as thick as shit not to support "football is for everyone".

the rainbow colors are specific to the gay community and "rainbow" pride. trying to claim it as "gay flag colors" *AND* universal in inclusion doesn't work.

jesus on the cross died for all of us - *ALL OF US* - so we can just put a crucifix on there and it will include everyone, including gays, ok?

Fill your boots, stick a muslim and hindu symbol on it as well if you wnt to act like a child. The fact is that football transcends all religious and political boundries and this gesture reflects that. Your problem with it is just your bigotry seeping out.

who's acting like a child? i'm not demanding my point of view and ONLY my point of view gets recognized and called out as having "struggles" in life.

football is a game where billionaires pay pay millionaires to play a game so that working class people can spend $400 on a game to come watch them play and they can get away from all the social / political crap going on.

Soccer uniforms should be comfortable to play in and should easily identify the players in them. Advertising on them is already disgusting. Political slogans and statements in addition is laughable or lamentable, whichever one wishes.

Like I’ve been posting for 20 years, it’s not about equality and acceptance, it’s about endorsement and embracement

To the contrary ... The game is open and inclusive.

It is your discomfort that requires special treatment ... Not the game of soccer ... Deal with it.
Your garbage about who is or isn't underrepresented has nothing to do with whether or not someone is good at playing soccer ... Deal with it.
If your delusional enlightenment is subject to your misguided nonsense ... Then you can keep your nefarious garbage.

Soccer does not need you to be gay nor straight to play the game ... And we don't need your stupid tag-along bullshit ...

.

Just like so many other pieces of the liberal agenda to force embracement, soccer can’t be about soccer it has to be about furthering an agenda

Who is demanding anything ? The association is trying to attract Gay folks to watch and take part. Thats great, football is the greatest sport on earth and everybody shuld be welcomed.

Think of it as marketing the game.

You know nothing about football cariad. Why does it offend you to see the game reach out to minorities ? It is part of their remit.

Sometimes, it is easier to understand what the "right", for all its defects, has to say about the "left". Certain issues and causes all bring out the very same emotional and sentimental outpouring to excessive extents. Of course, the "right" is equally Pavlovian and overbearing about its pets, but there is more vulgarity and macho vilification.
Those on the fringes, here, could feel lonesome, but probably aren't subject to it.
Just lobbing in a few rounds from time to time in the unlikely possibility of being received on a frequency gives another justification for owning a computer.

You know nothing about football cariad. Why does it offend you to see the game reach out to minorities ? It is part of their remit.

I know being gay or straight doesn't determine whether or not you are a better soccer player ...
Which is obviously more than you can comprehend.

The game of soccer isn't out of reach of minorities ...
And, I will be watching a shitload of minorities playing soccer starting on June 14th and for the following month.
That's the World Cup in case your retarded ass doesn't know that.

You are making shit up that doesn't matter to the game of soccer ...
And pretending you have a point worth making.
Handle your insecurities on your own time and dime ...
Don't fuck around and drag soccer into your little social engineering experiments ...

If you knew anything about the game you wouldnt call it "soccer". Who has said anything about sexuality determining ability ?

That looks like a deranged straw man to me. Something you made up to cover your ignorance.

Why does it offend you to see the game reach out to minorities ?

Gay Gooners

Here is an example of the work being done to civilise the game in the UK. Footballs fight against racism was limp and it is to be hoped that this is taken more seriously.

If you need to use what I call it to demonstrate how you can be any more divisive ...
That only goes to show how nefarious you are.

Look Tommy ... I am sorry if your insecurities handicap your grip on reality ...
Hope you someday find a better way of dealing with them.
In the meantime ... Some of the world's best soccer players will take the field ...
Gay, straight, confused, brown, white, yellow, red and everything in between.
We don't need your stone aged garbage.

I am not offended by your foolishness ... That's your problem ...

Homophobia in football: How LGBT fans' groups are changing opinions on terraces
This article outlines the toxic atmosphere in football.

Homophobia in football: How LGBT fans' groups are changing opinions on terraces

Another chant included in the 2013 dossier was: "You're from a town full of gays and we hope you all die of Aids." Abuse at one ground was so bad that BBC Sussex had to turn off a crowd microphone and two fans were attacked outside another.

Costa adds: "We have been fighting it for more than 20 years. Some stewards over the years have thought it was funny, even some of the police. People said we would never get anywhere, that is was just banter.

"I'm sorry, I don't class it as that.

"If you were talking about black people rather than gay they would be whipped out of the stadium before their feet touched the floor."

Brighton is a city well known for having a substantial lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community. The Seagulls are the most prominent target of such abuse - but they are not the first or only club to suffer.

Musician Sir Elton John's position as chairman and then honorary life president means Watford fans have heard similar.

The fact Norwich have been represented by comedian and actor Stephen Fry in the boardroom and Justin Fashanu - Britain's first openly gay footballer - on the pitch trips a lonely cell in some supporters' minds.

But things are changing for the better. To deny that there has been a problem is to be part of that problem.

I turned on both the US Men’s team game versus Ireland and the New England Revolution game this weekend and was unsurprised to find rainbow colors on jerseys and other items before I shut the games off. Just as I did with the pink jerseys in MLB on Mother’s Day weekend.
