US and Europe economies ‘won’t slow too disastrously’
Economist Chris Richardson says although economies in the US and Europe are slowing, “they won’t slow too disastrously”. He said forecasters are winding back their predictions of recessions as further data is revealed. “To be clear, we don’t know yet – it will be some months yet, certainly well into the middle of 2023, before we have a better feeling for just how much pain has been caused by the rate rises that we had during 2022,” he told Sky News Business Editor Ross Greenwood.
