The myth of America’s decline

America began with an immoral foundation. So immorality here is nothing recent.
Any immorality in Africa?

Let’s not forget this genocide: The Bantu Expansion: How Bantu People Changed Sub-Saharan Africa

No other nation in the world has the guaranteed freedoms that America has in the 1st ten Amendments to the Constitution.
What a hoot. As though the Virginia full of 3/5's never existed when the amendments were passed around 1789.

Guaranteed. Yeah right.

'Freedom for me but not for thee.'

The myth of America’s decline

Is the thread topic. I wasn't born in Africa either. America was built on a immoral foundation and Africa is a continent with over 50 nations on it.

North America may suffer from some of the world’s poorest political leadership. Yet it seems destined to remain the wealthiest, most dominant place on Earth.

The fact that America may "remain the wealthiest, most dominant place on Earth" does not preclude the possibility that we are also in decline. The two conditions are mutually exclusive and can exist simultaneously. And your first sentence provides a clue.

The people a country chooses to lead it (assuming that its people have a real vote) are a reflection of that country. If that is indeed the case, our politics reflect an ongoing decay, or in fact something worse.

SPIKED is a British Internet macazine focusing on politics, culture and society. The magazine was founded in 2001 with the same editor and many of the same contributors as Living Marxism which had closed in 2000 after losing a case for libel brought by ITN

Totally wedded to establishment figures and liberally used by our Intel agencies for misinformation and opinion influencing

So what you're saying is that you don't even know what the chart means. You've provided no context whatsoever.

It just shows spending increasing. I also note that since WWII, the federal budget has been approximately 20% of GDP but the state and local share of taxes has more than doubled. So the people you should REALLY be going after for increasing taxes, are state and local governments.

Notice how the increase in at all levels government spending isn't increasing nearly as fast as the population.

Do you have any links to support this conspiracy theory or did you just pull it out of your ass, as usual?

Marxists???? I don't think so:

We could be so much better than we are now if the Libtards hadn't taken over leadership of our country. Not only Democrats but also the RINOs that aid them.

Our GDP could be ten trillion dollars a year higher if it wasn't for the burden of big government.

The cost of combined Federal, State and Local government is almost 40% of the GDP and that is despicable. If it was around 20% like it was in the 50s and 60s then we would tremendously more economic growth than we have now. What we are spending on government now is a big waste and a drag on the productive economy.

Kinda like the family with an alcoholic father. He spends a significant amount of the family income on booze instead of buying food and clothes for his family. They may not be starving but the family is poorer because of it.

Our government spending is far worse than a drunken binge.

Everyone who worked with Trump has turned against him.

Immoral foundations can be applied to many areas. No Africans in South Africa when started. Incredibly the people indigent to the continent never travelled past certain areas. Now South Africa is a basket case.

You sound like an apologist for (Bantu) colonial genocide.

North America may suffer from some of the world’s poorest political leadership. Yet it seems destined to remain the wealthiest, most dominant place on Earth.

This may come as a surprise to many. After all, generations of pundits have insisted that the future will be forged elsewhere – Europe for some, Japan for others and, more recently, China. But none have the resources, the dynamic population and innovative acumen of North Americans.

Once taken for granted, China’s claim to the future is looking especially wobbly. In 2018, Chinese foreign ministry official Zhao Lijian described efforts to slow China’s dominion as being ‘as stupid as Don Quixote versus the windmills’. He added that ‘China’s win is unstoppable’. Today, China’s triumph looks far from inevitable. Projections that China could surpass the US in terms of aggregate economic output as soon as 2028 are being readjusted to 2036. Some now believe it won’t happen at all.

As for Japan or the EU,………..

A long read:::

Thanks for posting My Man...and I will read it this afternoon...but let me say this.

America is in decline not compared to the rest of the world...but compared to it's former self.

A house divided cannot stand.

You might think it is a quote from President Lincoln...but it is actually 2000 year old wisdom from the Bible.

We are a divided house.

Here's some more Bible wisdom...the sins of the father will be visited onto the third or even fourth generation.

Decisions made a hundred years ago have shaped the present we live in today.

Perhaps we can repair our society peacefully.

Time will tell.

Remember, their definition of "Marxist" or "socialist" or "communist" or "Stanlinist" or "Fascist" is "anyone who disagrees with me 'n stuff".

I keep hearing about America's decline, but I don't see it while out and about.
Then you must have blinders on....Fast food (whether you eat it or not) is priced outrageously, Groceries through the roof, Housing unsustainably high, Electric up, Insurance up, the middle and poor are getting squeezed here, but as long as you can walk down the road whistling....

Prove it. Go to Marthas Vineyard and destroy it. Show us your hope and change. The ghettos are not changing. Go to the real source. Go to areas like that.
