trump was unaware that his BBB cut Medicaid

No.

No idea. It was your wish.
Jesus, all of that to find out that you were shit talking?

And here I thought that you were among those that would have at least some thinking in your posting, instead of mindless trolling....Meh, I know now...

Once in a while I think it's important for we progressives to remind ourselves the trumpists we are dealing with on this board are generally the worst of the worst among the Repubs. The most willfully misinformed, the most easily manipulated, the most immature, the most boorish of the lot.

I try to find solace in that. Unfortunately, the rest of the rock solid base, ones who voted for trump despite him being a convicted criminal who tried to steal the 2020 election, and is a startlingly evil person, are not much better.

And once in a while we conservatives must remind ourselves that this forum is full of liberals so stupid they make AOC look like a scholar.

I simply replied to your remark.

Able bodied is what it means...Able to work...Their poverty is self induced.
The vast majority do work, or take care of family.

Able bodied actually means “not on disability” which gives the impression that they are perfectly healthy, when that’s not necessarily the case.

Your hatred of poor people is coming through.

If they aren't medically disabled, then they are able to work right?

Not at all...I was pretty poor early on...And, believe me when I say I am not rich now...But, I work...

I just had a third of my Kidney removed because of a tumor. But guess what, I've got about two weeks, and I'll be back at work...

Hatred of the poor? That's just dumb...I don't hate them, I contribute to my Church which will help in any way they can.

And there are people in kidney failure who are considered “able bodied”. You want to force them to work or lose their Medicaid?

Depends on what you mean by able bodied.
They’re all poor a dirt.
Who says they’re all poor as dirt? Many are living in air-conditioned houses and apartments, watch cable on their large flat-screen TVs, have iPhones, get hundreds of dollars in tax-free food stamps a month, own cars, and have left over for drinks at the bar, cigarettes, and tattoos.

If they’re able-bodied, they need to work or volunteer at least 20 hours a week to keep the Medicaid on. What’s so horrible about that?

Can a liberal explain why they are so adamant that able-bodied welfare recipients waste their time warching their large flat-screen TVs all day or hanging out on the street corner instead of doing something productive at least PART of the day?

President Donald Trump reportedly appeared to be unaware that the Republican budget legislation, formerly his “One Big, Beautiful Bill,” cuts approximately $1 trillion from Medicaid. In a meeting at the White House on Wednesday, Trump told moderate Republicans not to cut Medicaid, Medicare, or Social Security.

“Trump still doesn’t seem to have a firm grasp about what his signature legislative achievement does,” NOTUS reports. “According to three sources with direct knowledge of the comments, the president told Republicans at this meeting that there are three things Congress shouldn’t touch if they want to win elections: Medicaid, Medicare and Social Security.”

trump was unaware that the bill cut Medicaid. During the bills develoment, he stated over and over that SS, Medicare and Medicaid would not be cut. I just thought he was lying, which of course he does on a regular basis. But maybe he just did not know what was in the bill. Or more probable, he does not have the cognitive ability to understand what was in the bill. I suggest the latter. This is our president, a man who is oblivious to critical facts....o_O

Stephen Miller told them to cut it. Just like last Administration, when Miller speaks, the GOP listens.

When Trump cut the deal with Pelosi for his border wall, which gave a pathway to citizenship for the DACA kids, it was Miller who kiboshed that deal.

133% of FPL and below is dirt poor.

1) So what? They need to get at least a part-time job if they want taxpayers to cover all their medical expenses.

2) And add to that the fact they get subsidized housing, food stamps, and medical care, and many live better than new college grads.

Apparently you don’t know that Medicaid is funded by both federal and state dollars.

Sure, except that I've stated that numerous times in this thread. That's the reason it's a ludicrous argument to make that the funding of illegal alien healthcare is somehow separate from "regular" Medicaid. It's the same budget. It's akin to me saying I paid my rent with the money you gave me, the 1000 dollars I'm spending on this flat screen is a different 1000 dollars.
All you do is stamp your feet and demand I your dogma even though you clearly don’t understand what you’re talking about.

Most of them do, but the bureaucratic red tape results in a lot of them losing benefits anyway.

Able bodied just means not on disability, it doesn’t mean they’re healthy.

We’re not talking about whether most work. We are talking about those who don’t.
