Medicare is about protecting senior citizens who have paid into the program for their working lives to get help for health care. This one’s more nuanced than it looks. You're right—undocumented immigrants can't get full Medicaid legally. But emergency Medicaid is allowed by federal law, and a few states also provide Medicaid-style coverage for kids or pregnant women using their own funds.

There’s also the issue of fraud or bureaucratic abuse, which can slip through the cracks but isn’t legally permitted. So yeah—illegals don’t qualify on paper, but it’s not a clean “never happens” either.
