Trump to Legalize Pot?

Make booze illegal and half of the pharmaceuticals that you have kids addicted to, prescribed by a doctor. If not, you are a hypocrite.

It's amazing how easily people are lead.

Let adults make their own decisions in their own homes, I've seen FAR more damage done to people via alcohol, gambling and pharmaceuticals.
You follow the same right-wing nonsense these guys do.

I personally believe that booze and many "legal" prescription drugs are far more dangerous than pot is. I smoked my share way back in the day. It was actually a pretty decent pain killer; it calmed the nerves; and it helped me sleep. I'm DOT regulated and get random drug tests so I don't do any mind altering chemicals at all. I've never really understood why pot was on the "dangerous" list. I got in WAY more trouble (fights, drunk driving tickets, accidents, etc.) on booze and harder drugs.

If it was 100% legal I would probably take a gummy on a Friday night (from time to time).

This will surely make the left's heads explode. Imagine, Trump legalizes pot (on the federal level), thereby throwing a HUGE bone to blacks and young leftist whites. Suddenly, his popularity SKYROCKETS (he gave large voter blocs what they want, and everyone is higher than a ******* kite).

I know the libertarian and utilitarian arguments for letting these degenerates get stoned. But, I must point out that today's pot is not the pot you grew up with. Today's shit is much stronger and can lead to serious health and psychological issues. Plus, smoking pot is just so ... trashy. Also, today's pot smells really, really, REALLY bad. Sometimes when I am driving I get a big whoof of it sucked up and into my car with me. It lingers for far too long. I want to die when that happens so that I can stop experiencing someone else's ******* pot smoke. Or, when I am out with my dogs at night, I may catch a whiff of some neighbor's weed smoke. It is absolutely disgusting! It is nauseating, in fact. The only way to prevent this is to put a firecracker up each nostril and blast it!

Pot is gross. You may as well take a wet, warm dog turd, put it in your mouth and smoke it. By extension, pot smokers are gross. I will cut you some slack if you are old and have a terminal illness and are getting high to deal with adverse health effects. But that is it. Do you really need to get high? REALLY? You are so in need of a chill-down that you are willing to say "**** everybody!" and impose the smell, and your stupid stoned-ass behavior on everybody within 5 miles of you?!?!? Really? REALLY? **** off!!! I ******* hate inconsiderate people.

So, I guess that if Trump does this, all you leftist retards will be able to go down to the local pot store and buy your "Sweet Alabama Cush", "Dark Arabian Thunder *****", and "Sack of Pud", and get as ******* high as you want, effectively self-administering chemical lobotomies to yourselves. You will be free to stink up your neighborhoods, and buyout every McRib sandwich within 1 million square miles. Plus, you can drain the economy due to low worker production. Shit, the GDP will go from 3.0 to like negative 38 in no time. Congrats for having such a profound impact on the nation and on all of us!

How would you know? You haven't worked in this century, Methusaleh!
I worked for 42 years in the GOD FORSAKEN awful rat race. Served my sentence, paid the awful dues in this work world. NOT at all proud of it. Its insanity when one looks at it realistically.

I say "let adults make their own decisions"

How many people are dying from heart attacks and strokes from a lifetime of eating Fast Food? Or refined carbs? Ultra sugar in kids drinks, on and on,
There is nutrition in food. Over eating food does not justify drug use. Most people don’t force their bad food down others’ throats. Pot smokers and vapers do and believe they are doing no harm.
Pot users also have a 50% increase risk of heart disease not to mention that smoking one bowl or joint lines your lungs with the equivalent of smoking seven cigarettes.

I dont smoke pot but...you know there are other ways to get stoned other than smoking it. Vapes, edibles etc..

Booze in moderate doses is generally safe. I’m not advocating for alcohol. Just clarifying risks. One dose of pot can cause derealization disorder. Can happen to anyone. Medicinal drugs require FDA approval and list risks and side effects by law. Pot has no medicinal benefit, no FDA approval and no requirement (yet) to list the risks. That’s creepy. How a product that is so dangerous can be sold without warning customers is beyond belief. How these pot shops have not been sued into prison suggests the money and power the pot industry has. Bad.

Could you **** up a post worse than this? You quoted someone else's post before my reply.

This is the post I responded to:
'People are stressed. Work work work. Rush here rush there. Be more productive blah blah....its tiring and stressful. Its a rat race. People are looking for relief. Drugs arent the place to escape really but i think its up to the individual. With the number of states that allow it whats the point to be a stickler about it. We allow booze. Lots of people drink. Do some want that outlawed too?"

How the **** would you know, since you haven't worked since the 1990s?

I never saw that when I worked, and neither did my wife, and we both retired in 2022. I live with my daughter and she works today. The only complaint that she has is her 3-days-a-week commute through Nashville's traffic. She loves her new job and works from home two days a week. There was no problem at her previous job except the commute. Many industries are expanding here in town with 1000 new jobs announced this week, for a company based in South Korea, but then again every major industry in town besides the US Army is Korean. The company she had worked for in Spring Hill TN was a joint Korean-GM plant. She is having to wait for her job opportunities locally until they get the factories completed. It doesn't matter much anyway as her Army Major is being transferred most likely to Wisconsin in a few months.

My other daughter is a fire department paramedic and works 1 day on and 3 days off. That gives her plenty of time to work overtime and she has two part-time paramedic jobs with other EMS and event medical companies. Her biggest complaint was the taxes on all of the overtime she worked in 2024 left her with a huge tax bill. Now with no taxes on overtime, that won't happen.

lol....show me that study and i will show you one that disproves it....

No supposition. It’s long established fact.
Criminals make lots of money on all kinds of illegal behavior. That’s a poor excuse for throwing the baby out with the bath water.
There is more money to be made keeping it illegal. Higher profit and paying law enforcement for going after it.

He just signed a law that pretty much banned THC-A

I lost track of all the different types.

It used to be just good weed and bad weed. Now it's designer heaven.

Schedule 3 is a good place for weed.

I'll chime in....Back in 1970s we had severely potent hash and even more potent Tai Weed,, even "honey oil"... all of that was just as potent as today's pot. Of course there was the $15 lid (or OZ ) from Mexico, but the Sinsemilla from Mexico, Columbian, Mechmacan Blonde and even Northern Ca Skunk was available. Even the illusive African pot. So I cringe when I hear that pot is so much stronger now.

Pot was probably the first plant that humans grew. Let that sink in. It grows in any soil ( thus it is a weed) and the seeds could be planted by the traveling hunter gatherers, that would use the unattended "crops" for hemp, seeds for food and if isolating the female was possible...for its psychoactive properties.

Cannabis is also the plant that revealed, to science, why and how a plant "knows" when to flower. Give the plant 18 hrs of light...cut it down to twelve hrs of light and the plant will start to "flower".

Back in the day, people would say that pot is the one drug that is impossible to OD on. (You can overdose on baby aspirin). But unfortunately that is no longer the case. We now have edibles. These "edibles" come in every form, from gummy bears to lollipops, which make overdoses (especially from children) a real problem. Edibles do negate the harm from inhaling burnt plant matter into the lungs...but this comes at a very great cost IMHO.

15th post
On another note...pot can be grown to produce other chemical compounds other than straight THC. CBD is one example that has immense potential for it's healing properties. IMHO this a long overdue development, directly because of the insane laws that make it a class 1 drug along with heroine.
