Trump to Legalize Pot?

one really needs to be a tad suspicious of a government that wants a stoned constituency ......~S~

Funny you should mention that, I was just thinking about the book Brave New World... remember that one?

Setting the entire debate of drug legalization aside....freedom can be lost in different ways, sometimes it's through distraction or counterfeit happiness....or from being dumbed down. Which kind of reminds me of the whole idea of "bread and circuses."

Back in the day, people would say that pot is the one drug that is impossible to OD on. (You can overdose on baby aspirin). But unfortunately that is no longer the case. We now have edibles. These "edibles" come in every form, from gummy bears to lollipops, which make overdoses (especially from children) a real problem. Edibles do negate the harm from inhaling burnt plant matter into the lungs...but this comes at a very great cost IMHO.
My step son did some edibles in Las Vegas a few years ago and go so wasted and paranoid his partner seriously considered calling 911. She would have but ... she was too wasted to make the call.
Good times. :icon_rolleyes:

It was not an accident that during COVID, marijuana dispensaries and liquor stores were allowed to stay open.

I told my nephews that pot makes you lazy and will steer you into a profession that will allow you to use it.....Like being a public school teacher, for instance.
Some of the brightest people in history from Albert Einstein to Sigmund Freud were stoners who routinely took a spectrum of drugs all the time. Remember, back then, stuff was legal and commonplace that could never happen today, liker soda pop had actual cocaine in it. The shit really picked you up.

Want to be a pilot? Or a boat Captain, or a military officer, or work in the vast amount of jobs that require a drug screen? Don't smoke pot!.
How about a president? I'm not suggesting anything Trump, but I'm guessing that neither Joe Biden, Kammy Harris, Barry Obumma nor Billy Clinton would pass, as probably half the democrats in Washington, because, honestly, you'd have to be be stoned out of your mind for anything they propose to make sense.

You have exposed the basic operating precept of most all government for the past 2000 years.

The "black market" for pot is alive and well. An honest criminal can sell a once of weed for $200. The pot seller that has permission from his state (regulations, taxes inspection, lab reports etc....) Has to charge $400.
better pot at the dispensary no seeds no stems........and why buy from the corner guy who is still illegal, when its legal at a dispensary?...and at least the shop i go to it aint much more then when i was buying from the street guy....its 250 for an OZ there....

Creativity is almost certainly heightened with certain plants. Think about the music written by the Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin and so many others.

I suppose one always has to have it in them but such stimulants probably get the brain working. I've heard that classical pianists were always searching for such stimulants. There are some who have literally written pieces that extend 8-10 hours, perhaps even longer.

There is no way the human brain can stay that focused without something. Expresso coffee, alcohol...something.

Toobfreak I see wisdom in your words. Undoubtedly, many influential people have altered their consciousness in many ways. That being said ...I stand by my guidance to my nephews. In this day and age... smoking pot is probably not the most logical path forward for a young American. It takes about 5 weeks of no smoking to pass a THC piss test. A Hair follicle test? Don't even think about applying applying for that dream job. Hey just take another rip on the bong,, and design some more dog hats. Not that there is anything wrong with that.

yes they can.....
How?

Provide some proof please because I was on the understanding they could not regenerate, although I did remember hearing that if someone fasts for a period of time you can potentially grow new ones after a particular period in a state of autophagy.

Neurogenesis How To Grow New Brain Cells Naturally

Yes, brain cells (neurons) do regenerate, a process called neurogenesis, especially in areas like the hippocampus (learning/memory), but it's limited, slows with age, and doesn't fully replace cells lost from major injury; instead, the brain often relies on plasticity (rewiring) or other cells taking over, with lifestyle factors like exercise, learning, and diet influencing this.

Harry I agree with you. Buying from a pot store is far far better than buying from a stranger. They are actually putting Fentanyl on marijuana flowers these days. But for a community such as Mendocino CA .....the locals do not go to the pot shop

This is what I miss about the gym I was a committed gym rat who took creatine often (creatine is a big contributor to brain energy/health) and I was doing H.I.I.T naturally when it wasn't even popular. Constant super sets and drop sets, moving from one machine to another to hit muscles from different angles.

It was partially cardio and without question it helped keep my brain extremely sharp. I truly miss that feeling almost as much as the muscle tension.

One could (and some have) written books on the subject. I have whole medical textbooks on psychotomimetics.

The general consensus most of my life is that the average person does not use 85% of their brains. Some unlock the missing portions through meditation, yoga, training, heredity, religion, or drugs.

The ONE SURE WAY of getting something wrong is to apply a blanket rule that applies to all, then rationalize its shortcomings by calling it uniform justice for all. The latter is just a nice way of saying that they cannot be bothered with accepting the responsibility for making something right.

That is why we are SUPPOSED to prescribe just the right drug for just the right person, in just the right dose, not just claim that A drug causes mental illness in all.

Creativity, inspiration can come in many forms including odor, smell, taste, sex, sight, art, beauty, imagination, grace, and even sometimes, intoxicants.

Anything which even momentarily opens the mind to putting aside its ego for even a minute to stop seeing itself as the center of the universe to see reality as things really are enhances creativity.

This will surely make the left's heads explode. Imagine, Trump legalizes pot (on the federal level), thereby throwing a HUGE bone to blacks and young leftist whites. Suddenly, his popularity SKYROCKETS (he gave large voter blocs what they want, and everyone is higher than a ******* kite).

I know the libertarian and utilitarian arguments for letting these degenerates get stoned. But, I must point out that today's pot is not the pot you grew up with. Today's shit is much stronger and can lead to serious health and psychological issues. Plus, smoking pot is just so ... trashy. Also, today's pot smells really, really, REALLY bad. Sometimes when I am driving I get a big whoof of it sucked up and into my car with me. It lingers for far too long. I want to die when that happens so that I can stop experiencing someone else's ******* pot smoke. Or, when I am out with my dogs at night, I may catch a whiff of some neighbor's weed smoke. It is absolutely disgusting! It is nauseating, in fact. The only way to prevent this is to put a firecracker up each nostril and blast it!

Pot is gross. You may as well take a wet, warm dog turd, put it in your mouth and smoke it. By extension, pot smokers are gross. I will cut you some slack if you are old and have a terminal illness and are getting high to deal with adverse health effects. But that is it. Do you really need to get high? REALLY? You are so in need of a chill-down that you are willing to say "**** everybody!" and impose the smell, and your stupid stoned-ass behavior on everybody within 5 miles of you?!?!? Really? REALLY? **** off!!! I ******* hate inconsiderate people.

So, I guess that if Trump does this, all you leftist retards will be able to go down to the local pot store and buy your "Sweet Alabama Cush", "Dark Arabian Thunder *****", and "Sack of Pud", and get as ******* high as you want, effectively self-administering chemical lobotomies to yourselves. You will be free to stink up your neighborhoods, and buyout every McRib sandwich within 1 million square miles. Plus, you can drain the economy due to low worker production. Shit, the GDP will go from 3.0 to like negative 38 in no time. Congrats for having such a profound impact on the nation and on all of us!
REEFER MADNESS!!!!! 1936 film.

Brain cells don't regenerate.
Actually they do, that's just a myth.

Some neurons in the brain are replaced every week. The best known example are the granule cells in the dentate gyrus of the hippocampus.

You know what else is just a flower?
Hemlock.
Don't be fooled by that stupid old argument. I've seen people totally fried on pot who've ruined their lives.
I've had these conversations with pot heads. Nothing you say can convince them that pot can be bad for you in any way.

I often wonder how many people drive cars stoned. I know one guy that smokes it religiously and had a really bad car accident, causing him to have a big surgery to fix his spine. To this day, I bet he believe 100% that the pot he was smoking had nothing to do with the accident, and I know of no tests out there, like there is for alcohol, to see who is on pot while driving, but I bet it is a very large percentage of the population.

As for doing the most harm, the younger you are the more harm it seems to do from what I have read. And as it becomes increasingly legalized, we are seeing the effects of drug toxicity for those who use too much of it. And yes, you can die from it like any other drug you abuse or even food you abuse.

Exactly. Its a natural flower. Well, its mostly cross bred now, but its still just a flower. Alcohol destroys your liver, Weed destroys nothing but maybe a few brain cells. And they regenerate...

It's OK as long as you don't inhale it.

Not weekly and this is very limited and debatable.
