I see young and old walking into pot shops here. I am willing to bet that alcohol does far more damage. I don't do either but if I were suffering from pains or looking for alternative solutions to a health problem that a plant could fix, why wouldn't I pursue it?

Well, some Republicans have been demonizing the plant for a long time, characterizing it with the far left and druggies. I live in CA where it is legal and, so far, have not personally seen really bad effects. If Republicans were smart, they'd just legalize it, mainly to grow.

Drugs arent the place to escape really but i think its up to the individual. With the number of states that allow it whats the point to be a stickler about it. We allow booze. Lots of people drink. Bullshit. Pot has permanent life-altering consequences. Maybe not for everyone but certainly for anyone and for many already.
Comparing to alcohol or anything else is irrelevant. None of these things justify any other.
But alcohol in mild doses is mostly harmless. Pot works problems with one dose. Like a dimmer switch vs an on/off switch.
And people don’t randomly force their alcohol onto others in public with impunity the way pot smoking idiots and THC vapers do.
Pot is a dangerous drug and public awareness is way overdue.
