Many of these tariffs are on things that we don't even produce in the US.Or produce so little of that we have to import it. This means that any u s manufacturer, even if they produce their finished product domestically has to pay the tariffs to import the materials. And then they will raise the price of their finished product to recoup the extra cost.
Like what
Coffee, most tropical fruits, natural rubber, several types of minerals.
The list of things that the US doesn't produce at all or produces so little of that we cannot meet the demand by producing domestically has too many things to list fully. And pretty much every single thing is included in Trump's tariffs.
Then why are his aides repeatedly saying one thing, and Trump is saying the complete opposite? lmao

Who pays the tariffs on goods we send to other countries? ( those would be exports)
