Trump may have already changed his mind after today's market carnage.

I bet everyone around you has the same suspicions, you are clearly a closet homosexual.

Acting like this only makes it obvious, try toning it down some tinkerbell.
That makes perfect sense…Like those who often and openly use the N word probably actually really admire black folks…huh?

So because we have a good economy, we have to intentionally allow ourselves to be ran over by everyone else?

Uh $2T GOVT over-spending on top of $38T is not a good economy. Smoke and mirrors.

Somebody needs to do something. I will trust Trump policy 1000:1 over Obiden criminals on-going stealing 10%.

American manufacturing isnt coming back until the age of robots, maybe in 30 years. Saying it will come back with tariffs sure makes Trump look crazy though, doesnt it? Crazy guys always win the game of chicken because their opponents think they are suicidal.

Its all a ruse.
Trump keeps promising jobs from his tariffs
Any manufacturing will be primarily robotic

A trade deficit does not equate to supporting another country's economy.

I'm not talking about trade deficits. Small countries cannot compete with the US in terms of volume of imports/exports, but tariffs, those can be eliminated for free trade.

Again, there are many - even on the pro-MAGA Right who disagree.

As of April 2, 2025 — a.k.a. “Liberation Day” — the old system is officially dead and buried. Globalism had a nice run; the Sam Walton family thanks you. But we’ve crossed the Rubicon now. There’s no going back.

I don't know, but what is the alternative? Go back to the way it was where the US supports the economies of the rest of the world? Why is wanting to have equal access to markets a bad thing?
Let’s go back to sanity.

We don’t support the economies of the rest of the work and you are just sucking Trump’s ass

Stop it. It’s unseemly

When other countries tariff us, not allowing our products into their markets on a free trade basis, but their products are sold freely here in america, yes, we are supporting the worlds' economies.

Uh Malaysia too. Only Proton cars but for the few rich who could afford the $30K import duty on a BMW or Chevy in the 2000s'. Just give up. You can't defeat actual facts. Hynduia, LG, Samsung. It's all you see in Seoul. You lose. They even tell you what you see. If USA did not buy Korean they collapse.

Trump’s tariffs are not based on other countries putting tariffs on us

They’re based on a trade imbalance. either stop pretending stupidity or keep up

His speech, with the card was pointing out the tariffs other countries have on us. Now, that whole 10% across the board on EVERY country was nonsense. But, for those who are tariffing us, I see no issue with reciprocal tariffs.

What about all the companies re-investing right now in factories stateside?
They will likely require subsidies in order to survive. How else does a US company compete with Chinese slave labor? :dunno:

They will know whether or not its working within a couple months. If it isnt working and it isnt popular, Trump will end it. He always does whats popular with his base.

Dotard reminds me of Linus sitting in the pumpkin patch waiting for the Great Pumpkin that never comes. Like Linus, he doesn't understand why people who know better are mocking him.........and selling their stocks.

IOW, he's rolling the dice with the global economy with ten's of thousands of jobs and trillions in wealth at stake. Sounds idiotic to me.

Trump’s tariffs are ‘biggest policy mistake in 95 years,’ Wharton’s Jeremy Siegel says.

15th post
And Democrats (including BERNIE!) used to hold this exact position.

Until Trump agreed with them.

Then it was an immediate and dramatic about-face.
Dems are always scheming to make America a one-party state and they believe migranys will do that for them

The subsidies are the lack of tariffs vs. the companies still gettin' whacked.

It’s ALL nonsense. And these tariffs aren’t reciprocal
