Trump may have already changed his mind after today's market carnage.

There are consequences to the Orange Menace's reckless idiocy.

From PopMart to JD.com: Britain and China rush to forge business deals as diplomatic thaw takes hold

Chinese businesses have pledged hundreds of millions of pounds’ worth of investment in the U.K. and struck new partnerships with British peers as Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s visit to China spurred a flurry of bilateral business activity and investment flows.

During his four-day visit in China last week, Starmer met Chinese President Xi Jinping and secured deals that would see hundreds of millions worth of new investments from Chinese businesses, in addition to £2.2 billion ($3 billion) worth of exports and £2.3 billion in market access, according to a statement from the prime minister’s office.

Following the high-profile visit, the two leaders hailed the benefits of cooperation, with Xi describing the bilateral ties as “mutually beneficial.” Starmer, who brought a large delegation of executives from banking, pharmaceutical, and automobile companies to China, also described the country as vital to Britain’s interests.

So?

What are the consequences to the US? Be specific.

Your obscene use of white space, which uses bandwith which the board pays for, makes it obvious that you're not fiscally prudent. Most Americans aren't in a financial position to be so careless with their money.

We're still waiting for the long term gains from Trump's first round of trade deals. So far, the Great Negotiator is responsible for nearly doubling your trade deficit - from $735 billion under Obama, to $1,204 under Trump's trade deals. Deals that Trump has once again, torn up and called "stupid".

At Davos, Trump said that he'd wiped out 70% of the US Trade Deficit using his tariffs. He lied.
Not sure what orifice of your considerably wide, pasty white, dimpled ass you are pulling $1,204 out of. Your own link shows the trade deficit under Trump 47 HAS GONE DOWN form 155 billion to 86 billion.

Once again Dragonbreath is exposed as a lying sack of KKKanadian vermin shit.

Your ignorance around tariffs - who pays them and how effective are they, knows no bounds.

Thanks to Trump's tariffs, your trade deficit is higher this year than in 2024. When Trump took office in 2017, and renegotiated all of your trade deals, including NAFTA, the USA Trade deficit went from $735 billion in 2016 (Obama's last year in office), to $901 billion in 2020.

In 2024, still operating under Trump's "best deals ever", your trade deficit had risen to $1,204 billion. The Art of the Deal is to screw over the American manufacturer. Obama REDUCED the trade deficit he was handed, of $816 billion when W left office after 2008.

The reason they call it a "trade war" is because there are winners and losers in any war. American farmers have been big time losers. American consumers are now paying tariffs on stuff that has to be imported - like coffee, potash, and aluminum cans.

What you pay for things is dependent on whether the country of origin has offended your thin skinned President. Coffee costs more because Brazilians sent their last President to jail for starting an insurrection. Something Americans SHOULD have done to Trump.

If reciprocal tariffs were bad, then why are other countries putting them on us?

How many aluminum cans do we import, KKKanuck?

..
In 2024, United States imported $359M of Aluminium Cans, becoming the 5th largest importer of Aluminium Cans (out of 210) in the world. During the same year, Aluminium Cans were the 621st most imported product (out of 1,222) in United States. In 2024, United States imported Aluminium Cans primarily from: Mexico ($148M), Canada ($34.5M), China ($32M), Germany ($31.5M), and Chile ($17.3M).

Year-to-date, the goods and services deficit increased $32.9 billion, or 4.1 percent, from the same period in 2024. Exports increased $185.7 billion or 6.3 percent. Imports increased $218.6 billion or 5.8 percent.

396 million dollars? In a $29 TRILLION economy?

So it's even lower now. Down to 56 billion from Tater's 155 billion.

Huge decrease.

I like to toggle to the five year chart. March 2022 was the highest, at about one hundred billion, until January of 2025, 128 billion, February 2025, 120 billion, March 2025 136 billion. Yes, companies were front loading to avoid looming tariffs, but the reality is, our deficit has increased. You can expand the chart to ten years and the outliers that were January through March of last year becomes clear.

It might not seem like much, but the cost of aluminum cans is huge in the drink sector. There were actually shortages of product, production runs were cancelled because they didn't have the cans. And it gets so confusing. OK, we can buy the pressed aluminum from Mexico, even though it was made in China. Or we can just buy the damn cans from Mexico. I mean that just makes so much sense. Train loads of cans of air headed north.

$396 million in a $29 TRILLION economy is less than a popcorn fart, Simp.

Tell the class what percentage of a drink's cost is the can.

Betcha can't...

You claim the trade deficit has increased, but YOUR LINK'S NUMBERS show it is DOWN from $128 billion to $56 billion under Trump 47.

Must suck to have to lie, and provide the evidence you are a liar, huh? :auiqs.jpg:

A little short term pain for long term gains is too complicated for Dragonbreath.

Trump is putting an end to the US getting screwed on trade deals by all the countries who have been doing it for decades.

But Dragonbreath't pea brain won't process anything but the idiotic talking points she is fed from her handlers.
That KKKANADIAN IS A CHINAMAN ...
THAT SHOULD Answer YOUR questions.

You're wasting your time. These Trump cultist retards don't care about how economics actually work. They will believe whatever Trump tells them and he told them that other countries pay tariffs not American consumers. So that is what they believe. And anyone who says otherwise has to be a lying and pushing some anti-trump agenda. They don't care about facts. Whatever Trump tells them is true. He is their God

If he told them there was nothing wrong with raping children and underage girls they would praising Jeffrey Epstein as a victim of political persecution. It doesn't matter whether they would believe something is wrong. If someone else did it. Trump is a god to them and can do no wrong. He is infallible.
