Putin is getting his ass kicked. Trump is going to turn that around and hand over the keys to the empire to him. Putin simply can not keep up with American military hardware, strength, and technology without vast sums of cash influx. That is kept in check by the sanctions. As NATO bulks up and sanctions limit Russian income more and more, the Russian economy grows weaker and more stressed, the people suffer and pressure to replace Putin grows.
