I live in an area with deer. They clear 4' fences without thinking about what's on the other side. Successful gardeners in this area all have 8' fences. I think the meme is wishful thinking.

I have a lot of dear. Younger ones have issues with 48" fences.

Stark Bros. nursery is famous for developing many different kinds of fruit and other trees. They've recently gone into the poultry business as well, developing a new breed. They've developed the "naked neck" chicken to such an extent that it has virtually no feathers at all making processing much faster. It's called the "Stark Naked Chicken".
