Hunter told Republicans he would meet with them but it has to be in public. He even told them why. He knows what they are going to do. They are going to selectively release damning comments and even take them out of context. So Hunter refuses to meet with them in a closed door meeting. He's right not to trust them. They are bad actors.

So why not a public hearing?
