What does Donald Trump's executive order mean for the future of TikTok in the US?
www.bbc.com
"TikTok is set to be banned in the US on 19 January after the Supreme Court denied a
last ditch legal bid from its Chinese owner, ByteDance."
"Can Trump overturn the ban?"
"Trump may once have sought to ban TikTok - but he has repeatedly indicated during 2024 that he is now firmly against the law, and tried unsuccessfully to get it delayed."
Trump was opposed to TikTok,
In July 2020, then-President Donald Trump told reporters he would ban TikTok. The next month, he signed an executive order seeking to ban the app.

"In July 2020, then-President Donald Trump
told reporters aboard Air Force One, "As far as TikTok is concerned, we’re banning them from the United States." The next month, he signed an
executive order seeking to ban the app."
Then he took money from a guy who makes lots of money in China.
And all of a sudden his view on TikTok (which, ironically, is banned in China, so why does China not want it banned?) changed and he doesn't want to TikTok to be banned.
Having a president that will do anything to not anger China.... hmm.... is that what MAGA wanted?
