the section you quoted has nothing to do with language. You ask again immediately after I explain it to you plainly? Maybe YOU need to learn English.
Millions of US citizens do not speak English as their first language. The difference is the US and state gov'ts won't be wasting all the money to print every gov't document in 180 different languages. If a person immigrates to the US, it is incumbent on them to assimilate, not vice versa.
If you're an American, speak whatever the hell you want.Excellent. Stop offering documents or assistance in other languages. If you want to be here, speak English. If you want to be fluent in 7 languages, great; but 1 of them better be English.
This is a traffic sign - dunce:Traffic and road direction signs - dunce
So some official place names won't be written in the official language?I didn't say all place names need to be translated into English.
I have no idea what local police policies currently are.If a person gets stopped by a traffic cop and they don't speak or understand English, and the cop doesn't speak their language, then everything for a translator to be found ???
You'll be needing Spanish too once Mexico copies Trump and make Spanish their official language, good luck finding your gate at Cancun airport you trumpanzee hickbilly.Sounds like you might need some remedial English yourself - dunce.
God help your "students"I explained it plainly. Are you stupid?
14th Amendment for one. Day to day functioning of the government in general.
For some reason he just started this thread to be an asshole. Don't waste your time.the section you quoted has nothing to do with language.
Government offices in many places are staffed by multilingual people. Many private companies as well. More and more all the time.Do government employees not speak English or something? Do you know of any American government office that conducts its business in a foreign language?
Last I heard, it was still the government of the United States.
designating a language does not invalidate anyone's rights dumb ass.It has to do with exercising any rights of a US citizen.
For some reason he just started this thread to be an asshole. Don't waste your time.
Another example of Trump's racism, bigotry, and hate.Well...I guess it has some symbolic value..people are going to speak whatever language they wish.
Some will make a big deal about this..perceiving it as victory or loss--but really...just a 'meh' to me~

Trump signs order designating English as the official language of the US
President Donald Trump has signed an executive order designating English as the official language of the United States.apnews.com
President Donald Trump is expected to sign an executive order on Friday designating English as the official language of the United States, according to the White House.
The order will allow government agencies and organizations that receive federal funding to choose whether to continue to offer documents and services in language other than English, according to a fact sheet about the impending order.
It was not immediately clear when on Friday that Trump planned to sign the order.
The executive order will rescind a mandate from former President Bill Clinton that required the government and organizations that received federal funding to provide language assistance to non-English speakers.
Designating English as the national language “promotes unity, establishes efficiency in government operations, and creates a pathway for civic engagement,” according to the White House.
More than 30 states have already passed laws designating English as their official language, according to U.S. English, a group that advocates for making English the official language in the United States.
For decades, lawmakers in Congress have introduced legislation to designate English as the official language of the U.S., but those efforts have not succeeded.
The 14th Amendment protects isnt even an issue.14th Amendment for one. Day to day functioning of the government in general.
Please explain how having a common language to effectively communicate is racist or hateful. It is clear who the bigot here is. You see him every time you see your reflection.Another example of Trump's racism, bigotry, and hate.
