Seattle officials face civil emergency as LGBTQ+ Americans flee conservative states

I read the first paragraph, and that was enough to convince me never to live in Seattle. Why can't people moving to Seattle deal with their own housing, healthcare, and social services?

Seattle is just another blue city that gets what it deserves.
The fly in the ointment is that the rest of the state with the exception of Spokane is pretty conservative and we have to live with the garbage policies that these marxists and their minions foist on us. Sure glad I don't live on the west side of the Cascades though.

What a wonderful announcement for the first day of "pride month" Could not have made me happier.
Make my state even redder!

So lessee--- during the Civil War we had the north and south and the north considered the south traitors for wanting to secede. But now we have the Left doing that very thing reorganizing into Pride states and Sanctuary states, effectively seceding from the Union.

When do we get to declare them traitors and invade them?

Yes, I thought of you when I first saw this story. Too bad that you're stuck with the crap policies of the WA State lawmakers.

I feel your pain.
I drove through Washington a few years back and stopped at a beautiful scenic overlook along a canyon and river. Probably off of I-90.
The entire north rim of the canyon was littered with wind turbines.

Sounds like you were on I-84 in OR--the north side of the Columbia gorge has gobs of them.

It was definitely Washington state. I think it was Wanapum. Near Vantage, WA.
Driving directly from PA to Seattle.
I’ve not been to Oregon yet.
To paraphrase Lewis Medlock in Deliverance, “They gonna rape this entire landscape. They gonna rape it!”
With their global warming extremism.

You were close-- you might have seen the same bunch from the north.

That was probably across the Columbia river from Vantage, and yes, I've been there and the turbines are a horrible eyesore.

Why would anyone move to Seattle as their socialist mayor pushes failed policies that only drive away tax bases?

No sure I understand the "emergency"
Politics. The democrat gov't is running all of the high earners and successful businesses out of state and they are running a big deficit and they've run out of any other way to raise taxes. LOL, I'm going to laugh as the Seahawks sink into the dregs of the NFL when they can't get any high earning players to come because of the tax implications. Recipe for disaster? Elect democrats.

Seattle leaders and LGBTQ+ advocates say the city is experiencing a growing influx of trans and queer Americans relocating from conservative states...

Do they have any actual evidence, or is this just a false flag to start off pride month?
It's been in the local news here for at least a week I'd say, so from all appearances it's real.

It's kind of confounding though because a trans female was just murdered in University of Washington housing a few weeks ago, in a pretty heinous act, while she was in the laundry room.

Influx of LGBTQ+ refugees leaving red states to move to what they think is a queer friendly city.

They think it's an emergency. My lovely red state doesn't see it that way.
