Zone1 This is What the Government has done for Whites

If he hates whites and the country THEY created why doesn't he grow a pair of balls, and LEAVE.

We'd all be better off without him.

Thank LBJ. "The Great Society" hasn't been so great for poor Black people, supposedly created to provide "fairness and prosperity". Nope.

Some fun facts about the Great Society".

The Great Society and War on Poverty caused two interrelated problems. First, they led to increased dependency on government and perverse incentives that have hurt the poor. One example of this is welfare payments to single mothers that provided a disincentive for having a father in the home (benefits are cut if there is a working male member of the household). This led to a stark increase in single-parent households. Despite how heroic a single parent may be in trying to raise a child, the number of single-parent households in poverty increased drastically from 1.5 million in 1960 to approximately 5 million currently. This is compared with approximately 2 million married households under the poverty line, which has been constant since 1964. The continued fragmentation of families in poverty has led to increased crime, drug use, school dropout rates, and vast social problems in urban and rural America.

A second problem has been the cost of federal programs to aid the poor. Taxpayers have spent $20 trillion since the mid-1960s to fight the war on poverty. This includes housing allowances, food stamps, welfare payments, education, health care, and other benefits. The cost is more than the cost of all the wars fought in American history from the Revolution to the present day. What have been the results of such spending? The poverty rate has not declined and remains the same as in 1964, and there has been an explosion in the amount of federal dollars (and state dollars) needed to fund all the programs. The resulting entitlement crisis (especially for Medicare and Medicaid) threaten to bankrupt the country as states spend an increasing amount of their budgets on education and health care spending for the poor.

1. The poor are always with us.
2. All costs rise over time.

Caring for the poor is money well spent. :)

Understanding what the goal of the Great Society was is important to my prior post.
The Great Society increased the dependency of the government, not reduce it.

The Great Society was a set of domestic policy initiatives, programs, and legislation introduced in the 1960s in the U.S. These Great Society programs were intended to reduce poverty levels, reduce racial injustice, reduce crime, and improve the environment.

LBJ’s “Great Society“ was indeed successful when you consider his objective: It was to keep blacks poor and dependent - and voting Democrat.

It was true 55 years ago, and it is true today. That is why liberals and blacks positively demonize any black who moves over to the Republican side and speaks of the beauty of being self-supporting and taking responsibility for one’s own outcomes.

The best thing for poor blacks is to require them, after some short temporary help that pays for living expenses and job training, to stand on their own two feet and cut off the outlandish amount of welfare they get. But as it is, Democrats have created a situation where they are better off NOT working, having babies out of wedlock, and voting for endless handouts.

Lisa, You're stating the obvious, LBJ even stated it.
But, that is not how it was packaged.

(stating the obvious)

And the liberals all fell for it.

(Just like this entire BLM movement over supposed racial injustice re the Floyd killing. Had nothing to do with race at all. But one thing you can be certain of: Anything Democrats do or support is designed for one thing only: to retain power.)

The infuriating thing is that they are STILL pushing all these handouts, which go disproportionately (oh-oh, IM2 will be confused) to blacks, using racism as an excuse, when if they really wanted to help blacks they would cut off all welfare and require work (with exceptions of course).

Remember that scene in A Few Good Men when Nickelson says “you WANT me on that wall. You NEED me on that wall!”? Well, same thing here: Democrats WANT blacks poor and dependent. They NEED blacks poor and dependent.

And THAT is where true racism lies.

Based on the ads on tv blacks are doing pretty well. They appear to be solid middle class.

Sounds more like they were stigmatizing the poor people. We are only talking about $1000 or two out of a $200,000 unit they are making obscene profits on?
You obviously don’t understand how expensive granite counter tops are in both materials and labor. The savings are probably ten grand or more per apartment.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Absolutely. And since when is not providing granite countertops and stainless steel appliances to lower-income “stigmatizing” them? Low-income people are NOT entitled to the top-of-the-line finishes that many middle-income people, who must pay for things themselves, can’t afford until they’ve worked for 20 years.

And when we talk about the percentage of Black's committing the crime, you only want to use raw numbers.
Yes because again, everybody is part of wealth and poverty, but everybody is not a criminal offender, nor is everybody arrested for crimes.

Based in reality blacks have 2.7 percent of the wealth. You can stop crying about seeing blacks on TV commercials advertising for white owned companies shown on white owned TV networks.
