The US is trending towards authoritarian government under Trump.
Review the basic characteristics of a government heading towart authoritarian ism and the US is experiencing almost all under Trump,
If a left wing zealot is elected next, they will have the excessive powers to do what they want.

What are the top elements of the authoritarian playbook?

  1. Divide and rule: Foment mistrust and fear; actively scapegoat and pit groups against each other.
  2. Spread lies and conspiracies: Actively promote mis/disinfo; undermine the public’s belief in truth.
  3. Destroy checks and balances and undermine institutions: Quietly use legal or pseudo-legal rationales to gut institutions (bureaucracies, courts, electoral institutions), undermine their independence, and weaken opposition.
  4. Demonize opponents and independent media: Undermine the public’s trust in those actors and institutions that hold the state accountable.
  5. Undermine civil and political rights and criminalize dissent: Actively suppress free speech, the right to assembly and protest and the rights of women and minority groups; restrict NGO activities.
  6. Blame minorities, immigrants, and ā€œoutsidersā€ for a country’s problems: Exploit national humiliation while promising to restore national glory.
  7. Deploy military forces to address public security problems and/or declare national emergencies to seize unconstitutional powers.
  8. Reward loyalists and punish defectors: Make in-group members fearful to voice dissention.
  9. Encourage or condone violence to advance political goals: Dehumanize opposition and/or out-groups to justify violence against them.
  10. Organize mass rallies to keep supporters mobilized against made-up threats: Use fearmongering and hate speech to consolidate in-group identity and solidarity.
  11. Make people feel like they are powerless to change things: Solutions will only come from the top.
I noticed that you basically said that Trump is the valve that is turning the flow on, but the real authoritarians are the Democrats who hope to flow through the opened valve unrestricted afterwards.

So the dilemma is this, should Trump be like the other president's before him, and just go along to get along or should Trump stay the course by regulating the flow by way of the valve to a trickle, otherwise as he prepares the nation to survive a possible leftist flood (if the valve is then by passed by corrupt or destructive methods) ???

You can do all of those things easier if you are an authoritarian government. A liberal President will be able to do more of what he wants, also.

The issue is seperation of powers. Look it up. That goes away, no more democracy. That works better for you when someone of your ideology is the leader but much worse for you if the leader is the opposite of your ideology.

Seperation of powers is why the US has survived and thrived over 250 years. Think long term, not short term.
Well the opposite of ones ideologies can easily be illustrated, and it has been illustrated over and over again.

One thing is for sure, and that is that leftist ideology has been rejected widely in this country, but stupidly the left won't accept it. So who is the real authoritarians ??? Hands down it's the leftist because they have to force their ideology onto an unwilling majority. This stuff is so easy, but of course the propaganda war continues within, and Satan is leading his final charge against anything Godly in America.

Here’s an example of the abuse from this authoritarian administration.

They’re ordering coal plants to remain online, citing emergency powers without any actual emergency.

Everything is an emergency after you dip dots left office. Suck it up buttercup, the ride is ours until the voter's say otherwise.

That’s idiotic. Liberals always project. They have decades pitting one group against another.

They packed the federal courts to overturn the will of the people.

They have various organizations and wealthy donors to fund demonstrations which they force to turn violent.

They are going out now saying that if they take power in the mid term elections they will use the legal system to prosecute political opposition.

They demonize those who are here to protect the public.

They have turned our public education system into indoctrination centers and turned sexual groomers loose on young children.

Almost every President in the last 130 years could be said to follow the same patterns. It is getting boring that you people have nothing and keep claiming you got something, it is pretty silly but you still play the stupid card. Let me know if you have anything close to being accurate or unbiased.

Why do left say things that are untrue with such comfort? It prevails, it's weird, and complicated.
Normal people tell you the lies you believe are untrue. You refuse to only listen to Trump and the MAGA minions he controls.

But you will not believe the truth because you are concerned your fellow MAGAs will kick you out.

For many, political beliefs become tied to identity and community. In the case of supporters of Donald Trump, ā€œMAGAā€ isn’t just a set of policies—it can feel like belonging to a group. When beliefs are tied to identity, changing your mind can feel like losing your group or admitting personal failure.

Wake up before we lose our democracy.
Trump has:
  • Challenged election results and norms around peaceful transfer of power
  • Used strong rhetoric against institutions (courts, media, civil service)
  • Tested limits of executive authority in areas like immigration and emergency powers

šŸ‘‰ Supporters see this as pushing back against entrenched bureaucracy; critics see it as undermining democratic norms.

In terms of norms and democratic institutions, Trump is often seen by critics as testing boundaries in ways that are unusual in modern U.S. politics.

You feel God approves of the actions of Trump's government?

MAGA is the opposite of many of Jesus's key teachings.

  • Jesus’s call for humility and service over power and wealth.
  • His commands to love and care for outsiders and the disadvantaged
  • Jesus never sought political office or power and urged His followers to seek God’s kingdom rather than worldly rule.
  • His emphasis was on care, compassion, and justice for all people, especially the vulnerable.
  • He challenged religious and political leaders alike when they ignored mercy and righteousness
  • Love your neighbor as yourself.ā€ (Mark 12:31)
  • ā€œI was a stranger and you welcomed me.ā€ (Matthew 25:35)
  • The Good Samaritan (Luke 10) centers moral duty on care for foreigners and enemies.
  • Jesus rejects earthly power, status, and domination (Matthew 20:25–28).
  • Jesus condemns deception and hypocrisy (Matthew 23).
  • Jesus repeatedly warns against wealth and neglect of the poor (Luke 12, Luke 16).
  • What mortal man does not realize we are all flawed and ask Jesus for forgiveness? Trump has said "Why do I have to repent or ask for forgiveness, if I am not making mistakes?"
  • 'Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; life does not consist in an abundance of possessions'ā€ (Luke 12:15).

Obviously you’re an idiot.

The left ruined the public schools. The left pitted people against each other by race, class and gender. The left has built and grown the dependent class.

Trump is attempting to reverse that.

I stopped reading at "Normal people tell you the lies you believe are untrue."

Not really, I just had to see the second verse, which goes "You refuse to only listen to Trump and the MAGA minions he controls.".

This is the reality, and anyone with a smidget of common sense should know it. Thanks brother, and keep up the good fight for freedom in Christ name Amen šŸ‘

Everything is an emergency when you’re an authoritarian seeking to unilaterally seize control of the country.
You mean take it back from you authoritarians, otherwise who took it so you could forcefully implement your radical agendas on an unwilling, unsuspecting population until the chit finally hit the fan ??

The surfer getting arrested and thrown down into the sand during Covid in California is evidence of tyranny with a Progressive controlled government. This while the elites, politicians, media and entertainers are partying at expensive restaurants and taverns and other partying areas with no masks that were enforced on the peasants. I look at these things that you do not. Anyone who disagrees with you has a jackboot put on their head. You are dictatorial and you shut down your areas if need be to cause more suffering. Roy Cooper hut down a lot of stuff for a few years in North Carolina. He made visitors and citizens miserable and you stupidones still vote for that scum.

You perverting the word in order to attempt too cover for the lefts sick twisted agendas, otherwise by suggesting that Trump is the problem in it all, uhhhh is fake news at it's best. Gaslighting is all the left has left.

The government told us couldn’t go to church during Covid but we could riot in the streets, the government told us we had to vaccinate or possibly lose our income, the government told us could not voice our opinions on social media unless we towed the government’s line, we saw government move in on political opponents and jail them without due process, the government didn’t enforce our border laws and we lost American lives because of it, we saw the IRS delay setting up organizations that didn’t follow the politics of the day, the government raided a former President’s home in a warrant that even government agencies thought was illegal at best. We watched a state go after a political opponent for a law that was never enforced to try to take him down, we saw a president go after the opposition before an election in an attempt to win an election for his successor. We have a government take rights away in the name of a war, we have a government that took billions and gave it to the rich in the name of too big to fail, which resulted in the largest transfer of wealth from the working class to the rich, only to be followed by in 22 by making the rich even richer. We have had Presidents try to work around the Constitution with EO’s, we have watched America give more and more power to Presidents, which you are all for until your guy is no longer in power and now, it is wrong. We had a party and the media lie to the entire nation for years about the health of a President because they wanted power.

I honestly see no difference between either party in becoming authoritarian, we have given up so much power because of this very partisan bullshit. I have warned people about both parties and you play the partisan bullshit card now? Shame on you for not caring 30 years ago when the slide started.

I put my hope and trust in the Constitution not republicans or democrats, all you asshole do is try to divide.

Jesus would support them as much as he would Democrats, neither has a high ground. Time to rid ourselves of the two parties and find a party that puts its citizens ahead of rich corporate bastards.
