I was recalling the 2 weeks things you brought up.
Being a good anarchist, for sure you did not get the Trump shot.
That was smart.
The US is trending towards authoritarian government under Trump.
Review the basic characteristics of a government heading towart authoritarian ism and the US is experiencing almost all under Trump,
If a left wing zealot is elected next, they will have the excessive powers to do what they want.
What are the top elements of the authoritarian playbook?
- Divide and rule: Foment mistrust and fear; actively scapegoat and pit groups against each other.
- Spread lies and conspiracies: Actively promote mis/disinfo; undermine the public’s belief in truth.
- Destroy checks and balances and undermine institutions: Quietly use legal or pseudo-legal rationales to gut institutions (bureaucracies, courts, electoral institutions), undermine their independence, and weaken opposition.
- Demonize opponents and independent media: Undermine the public’s trust in those actors and institutions that hold the state accountable.
- Undermine civil and political rights and criminalize dissent: Actively suppress free speech, the right to assembly and protest and the rights of women and minority groups; restrict NGO activities.
- Blame minorities, immigrants, and “outsiders” for a country’s problems: Exploit national humiliation while promising to restore national glory.
- Deploy military forces to address public security problems and/or declare national emergencies to seize unconstitutional powers.
- Reward loyalists and punish defectors: Make in-group members fearful to voice dissention.
- Encourage or condone violence to advance political goals: Dehumanize opposition and/or out-groups to justify violence against them.
- Organize mass rallies to keep supporters mobilized against made-up threats: Use fearmongering and hate speech to consolidate in-group identity and solidarity.
- Make people feel like they are powerless to change things: Solutions will only come from the top.
You can do all of those things easier if you are an authoritarian government. A liberal President will be able to do more of what he wants, also.Trump has reduced the power of government domestically by cutting taxes regulations and firing 300000 useless government workers. Thats the reverse of an authoritarian who increases domestic power. Trump has increased the power of our foreign policy resulting in a total change in the balance of power in favor of America. Russia Cuba Iran and Red China have been driven back by kicking them out of Venezuela and destroying Irans religious fanatics in the Middle East. This is exactly what a president should be doing. Less domestic government more power directed against our enemies in the axis of evil.
Democrats when in power increase taxes write thousands of oppressive regulations meant to manipulate us, expand government, and insert the state into every personal aspect of our private lives. Thats what an autocrat does.
You have it backwards

How about this one.Wow, really??? Do we have to go through each and every one of these? They're exactly what the Dems are doing or have done...moron.
It is about "seperation of powers".why did he allow the no kings protest then? Cause it's obvious you want to divide the country? Can't have the cake and say you didn't partake in it's bounty!
That is not what a democracy is. That is an aurhoritarian government. Follow our Consttitution. It mandates seperation of powers. What in the hell are you talking about? Trump is taking charge and you call it authoritarian. He was voted in by a democracy and he is being president through democracy. That's what a democracy is.
There is no comparison. There are no "whataboutisms", not even close. This country has never seen anything like this, and I hope we never do again. The US is trending towards authoritarian government under Trump.

Trump would have loved to do to the no kings protesters what Iran did to their protesters. We are not quite a dictatorship. Trump is being held back on some of his impulses.why did he allow the no kings protest then? Cause it's obvious you want to divide the country? Obama was the one nailed for unconstitutionally spying on the country.

I remember going to North Carolina a few years ago over a few years and the mutha phukin pools and breakfasts at motels were terminated from the jit bag Progressive Socialist Communist governor. The years went on and this dickhead continued the gulags.I got one because Republican governor John Kasich wouldn't let me attend two concerts I held tickets for (bought pre-covid) that I really wanted to attend.
One performer that is now passed away and I'm glad I got to see him.

The people have more power under Trump less under Biden. Biden abused government power attacking his opponents with the FBI CIA and DOJ. Wheres the sepration of powers when democrats were abusing their powerYou can do all of those things easier if you are an authoritarian government. A liberal President will be able to do more of what he wants, also.
The issue is seperation of powers. Look it up. That goes away, no more democracy. That works better for you when someone of your ideology is the leader but much worse for you if the leader is the opposite of your ideology.
Seperation of powers is why the US has survived and thrived over 250 years. Think long term, not short term.
pknopp what mandates has trump imposed? The people have more power under Trump less under Biden. Biden abused government power attacking his opponents with the FBI CIA and DOJ. Wheres the sepration of powers when democrats were abusing their power
