Didn't occur to (left wing?) "researchers" that the missing German POW's might be in Russian gulags until they died and were buried in Stalinist mass graves? General Eisenhower didn't even have the authority to rescue Germans from the Russian hoard when he was forced by COS Marshall to halt the offensive to let the Russians pillage Berlin.

What is this shit? This screed is written to inflame passions and horror but does link to a damn bit of evidence or even list the author. Rubber room material if I ever saw it. Our treament of POWs was never as awful as what the Nazis did to our soldiers, not even close.

The Germans treated our pows very well............the Japanese on the other hand..........committed horrendous atrocities on our pows and in a routine way....very little of what happend is known to most Americans who have been drowned by the media focus on nazism.

So because it is on the internet, it has to be true?

I think the source is a big fail.

Ike personally ordered the execution of 6 German prisoners. The German potato salad they made for him had too much salt and the bratwurst was overdone. Who could blame the guy?

Gen. Dwight D. Eisenhower frequently clashed with Gen. George S. Patton, a staunch anti-Communist who favored generous treatment of former German officers and even some former Nazis. Patton felt that "It is no more possible for a man to be a civil servant in Germany and not have paid lip service to the Nazis than it is for a man to be a postmaster in America and not have paid at least lip service to the Democratic Party or the Republican Party when they are in power," and his vocal complaints eventually led to his being relieved of his command as post-war governor of Bavaria. The controversial general who had once been one of the most feared enemies of the German army admired Germans and after the war even called them "the only decent people left in Europe." He complained of what he considered persecution of the German people and saw it as serving the interests of the Soviet Union, not the United States

Yeah, but Eisenhower was a Republican so even a single death deserves a war crimes trial. Truman, on the other hand, (naturally a Democrat) killed hundreds of thousands in Japan but not a liberal whimper.

See a pattern here?

The Real Truth about anything is much more complex than the masses would like to believe..........only simpletons gobble up what the mass media presents you with ...being too lazy to engage in a process of analytical thinking....aka weeding out the propaganda b.s.

Patton understood Communism and its threat..........maybe Eisenhower finally came to that realization also....but it took some time....if Patton had been listened to....much grief could have been avoided.

Shouldn't this be in the conspiracy theory forum? Right next to Bat Boy?

Shouldn't you pull your head out of your butt?
You made a claim, back it up with evidence.
I have led the Jackasses to the water....but no one can make them drink.

Irregardless........................

"Starting in April 1945, the United States Army and the French Army casually annihilated one million [German] men, most of them in American camps . . . Eisenhower's hatred, passed through the lens of a compliant military bureaucracy, produced the horror of death camps unequalled by anything in American history . . . an enormous war crime."
