Again, that's impossible and God wouldn't command an impossibility.

We all are selective in what we follow but that doesn't mean the Bible is wrong, it means we are.

I don't believe the Bible is open to interpretation.

But, I'm glad you believe in God and believe he sent his son to die for our sins.

When the galaxies first formed and life began 13 billion years or so ago, Do you think the bible's existence in the universe was the same as today? perhaps humans started with ship sailing fishing inventions in the beginning in an archaic state. Then they developed an age of black and white camera technology, then came the computer age which is where we are at now? Could the Bible be a book that evolves slowly with human existence in the universe? Could its problems be answered even though they weren't before?

We know about when this Bible was written.

People like you spend so much is spent on trying to tie religions and science together. I like what Joseph Campbell once said:

Read the passage. What you are saying is you don’t believe Jesus.

1. Jesus said he was the bread of life and whoever ate this bread would have eternal life. John 6:48-51
2. The Jews quarreled and said how can this man give us his flesh to eat. John 6:52
3. So rather than softening his stance he doubled down and said very clearly, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you do not have life within you. John 6:53
4. Afterwards his disciples said, this is hard to take. John 6:60
5. Jesus asked them, does this shock you. John 6:61
6. Then Jesus explained that it is the spirit that gives life. The flesh is of no avail. John 6:62-63

You don't know when the beginning was, and you don't know how long after that the earth was put into darkness. (Gen. 1:2) And you don't no how long that the darkness remained over the earth. In other words, you and your science can throw those big numebers out but you don't have slightest idea.
