I know quite a lot about economics. And we can look at what happens when we have tariffs. They fail every time. If you think tariffs are good economics, you don't understand economics. We've known they are bad for a very long time.I'll repeat it or you: You don't prove economic theories with "studies." If you believe you can, you know nothing about economics. So you have no evidence of your idiotic beliefs. Shocking. A true trumper...You don't prove economic theories with "studies," moron. Anyone who believes they can is a certified moron. The average time span between recession is a little over 5 years. The economy was well overdue for one when Trump took office. We would have had one with his tax cut.The unemployment rate was declining for 6 years when trump took office and continued that trend. Show me a study where the tariffs were good for manufacturing. Every trump policy is a big turd.We had an unemplyment rate of 3.7 %, so I would say they were quite successfulYeah look at all that success from the trump tariffs. How many times do you need to see failure to realize you are wrong? Do you think we sell more cars when we are paying a higher price for steel than other countries? How does that help our manufacturing?Actually they do and have every time they are tried. Our manufacturing has been forced to pay more for parts and resources. That makes them less competitive in the world market and sales go down. You trumpers are so stupid....Tarrifs don't hurt manufacturing, moron. They hurt consumers. Places like South Korea and Japan have had stiff tariffs for years.Yes you clearly don't understand. Our trade deficit is as big as ever and he hurt our manufacturing. Funny what you call winning....
Actually, they don't. Do you believe South Korean and Japanese manufacturers are suffering from tariffs? Go to Seoul Korea and what do you see, nothing but cars made in South Korea. They don't import cars, and neither does Japan. Manufacturing is thriving in both countries.
Tariff's are generally applied on finished goods, but sometimes as a result of union pressure they get applied to raw materials or intermediate goods like steel. The later are clearly harmful to manufactures.
You're just plain full of shit, and you don't know what the hell you're talking about.
Reagan knew.

BTW, turd, I already said that tariffs on intermediate goods and raw materials are not good for manufacturers, but tariffs on cars, computers, televisions and appliances are quite beneficial to domestic manufacturers.
