No it's name changed because the inherent properties of the earth cause it to change average temperatures over period of time and they have no way of knowing whether the earth is in a period of increased temp or decreased temp.

When they call it "climate change" it doesn't matter if the earth is heating up or cooling down - THEY CAN STILL USE THE PHRASE!!!
