When I was in the second grade and forced to memorize the ten commandments during weekly religious instruction, under threats of real and imaginary punishment, and then told that for me to be a confirmed Catholic I had to defy the first command which I had already been taught results in death, descent into hell, and ultimately destruction, and seek spiritual life from a lifeless piece of bread MADE BY HUMAN HANDS.
