But more than anything, it was a bait-and-switch con and a boondoggle for unions.
Nonetheless, my prediction at the time of its ratification came to pass. Eight years on, it was more popular than it was at the beginning. Just like RomneyCare was.
It was certainly a lot more popular than Trump's non-existent replacement hoax.

Ask any large scale farmer. They'll tell you. They can't get Americans to do migrant work for any wage.
Farmers are suffering severe labor shortages, and our quota system does not provide enough supply of legal immigrant labor, so they have no choice but to hire illegal immigrant labor to get their crops harvested and to your table.
