The homefront is slowly collapsing in Russia

Um, most of the "Enslaved" Nations were active members of the Axis during the war.

And now they are throwing in with another anti-Russian alliance.

Exactly! Poland deserved to be enslaved because.....ummm. What?

And now they are throwing in with another anti-Russian alliance.

Poor Russia, biggest country in the world, biggest inferiority complex in the world.

Why would those nations want to join an anti-Russian alliance when Russia treated them so well?

Poland was in the way. That's been Poland's history, it's always been in the way.

Again, I don't defend what Russia does, but antagonizing it unnecessarily is a bad idea.

Lefties,

Maybe the peace negotiations will fail and more people will die.

STAY POSITIVE.

Lefties, do not get sad.

Surely more wars will start up soon.

China/ Taiwan is always on the horizon.

You guys will get more death soon enough.

No murders of you g black men in DC this week has really fucked you guys up. A WEEK WITH NO MURDERED YOUNG BLACK MEN IN DC?! WHAT THE ****?!

Lefties cant take it,

The formerly enslaved nations believe staying vulnerable to Russia is a bad idea.

Poor misunderstood Russia, no reason for anyone to join NATO, right?
That isn't the point anyone has made, but ok. If you really want to get into the history of this, which we both know isn't the case as your entire argument is based on a meme level understanding of this issue we can.

You're whining about NATO, that's the point.

Oh, I'm positive they will fail, because Trump isnt up to the task and Putin still has those pee tapes.
I don't get your take on this. You are reasonable concerning the actual topic but believe that Trump is going to goon it up because of "pee tapes"? Do you really believe that the heads of state do the heavy lifting negotiations when it comes to things like this? Because that's a fantasy. There's no way a President can really have the granular level understanding of 99% of issues in order to do that. Putin and Trump won't be the 2 people who nug through the agreement. They will make the decision on its final wording/conditions but they aren't hashing that shit out between them at a meeting. Trump is winning this argument because he's willing to take the meeting when the last admin wouldn't.

Oh, I agree, if we were dealing with a normal presidency, all the nitty gritty stuff would have been worked out and Putin and Trump would have just been there for the Photo Op.

Sadly, Trump got rid of all the people who know what they are doing and replaced them with lickspittles who mollify the Big Orange Toddler.

MEANWHILE, the GRU probably briefed Putin on how to push Trump's buttons. Tell him he won in 2020!

Trump got rolled by Putin. Even Fox News realizes it.

Who were all these people he fired who “ knew what they were doing” and what the **** have they been doing for the past 3.5 years? I’m not a fan of Rubio but Witkoff has done a good job. I think you’re projecting your general dislike of Trump onto this process.

How has he done a good job?

Trump has accomplished nothing, other than giving Putin a Photo Op.

He's maybe starting to figure out the former head of the KGB can't be trusted, but the people who knew what they were doing tried to tell him that 8 years ago.

Witkoff? He’s done a better job than anyone else dealing with the Middle East. Minus Trump’s dumb obsession with giving Israel anything it wants.

Trump took the meeting. That alone is infinitely more than the last admin did. He’s moved us far closer to a peace deal than Biden. If the last admin were continued via Harris we are doubling down on this stupidity. You may be right and it may fall through but at least the administration is attempting to secure the end of the conflict. He’s certainly not getting help from all the warmongers in our Government and in Europe.

Um, that's like saying the Titanic was making wonderful time until it hit the iceberg. The Middle East is a ******* mess.

Except Trump blinked. He's already said he's willing to Trade Ukrainian land while getting nothing in return.

It was a mess when he got there. He brokered a cease fire in the Israel/Gaza conflict right out of the gate and I think Trump gooned that up. It's funny everyone says Trump is Putin's puppet but he does far more for Israel than he ever did for Russia.

Ukraine has already lost the land and has no way to get it back at this point. They could have gotten it all back if the peace deal right after the war started had been accepted. Im guessing all those people Trump fired who knew what they were doing advised the previous admin not to take that deal. Lets review what it was though

1. Russia keeps Crimea

2. Russia withdraws from all the Ukrainian territory (minus Crimea) the only contingency is that the Donbas got more autonomy. I don't know the exact details of what that meant but it was still going to be part of Ukraine regardless of how much autonomy they were granted.

3. Ukraine cant join NATO.

vs now (best case for Ukraine)

1. Russia keeps Crimea

2. Russia keeps Donbas and Luhansk but gives back all the territory outside those 2 regions

3. Ukraine cant join NATO.

But it's Trump's fault Ukraine is going to lose territory in this war....

The mistake Trump made was saying Ukraine might get security guarantees. Russia is never going to accept that. It's the entire reason we are where we are now. Putin has been saying or decades now that Ukraine can't be allied with the west. They don't have to be allied with Russia, but they can't be allied with the west. That Russia would take Ukraine before it allowed it to become a sock puppet of the US. But we pushed and pushed and here we are in proxy war of our own making blaming the only person trying to end it. Sounds about right.
