The Gaza Starvation Lie

There is food available. Proof that there is food available is the health of her other son who doesn't suffer from a terrible illness. The exploitation of sick children is despicable.
Netanyahu's propaganda parrots are being discredited.

Dozens of rabbis were arrested Tuesday morning after staging a protest at the office of Senate Majority Leader John Thune, a South Dakota Republican, calling for aid in Gaza and an end to what they called the Israeli government’s “blockade” of the enclave.
The arrests come a day after eight rabbis were arrested at a separate demonstration in New York City, in a sign of surging Jewish concern about the condition of Gaza civilians.
In Washington, the group of 27 rabbis affiliated with the advocacy group Jews for Food Aid for People in Gaza entered Thune’s office at around 11:10 a.m. Tuesday morning, and displayed banners reading “Rabbis say: Protect Life!” and “Rabbis say: Stop the Blockade.”

It’s an Israeli-made famine…

When even someone asdepraved as trump admits it it is time to revognise the truth about Israels genocide. The world cant afford Israel.

Crime of the century says this UN official, what a legacy for the Israelis to go down in History as one of the worst Genociders.

This is a completely inhumane situation. A kilo of meat or sugar sells for $100 - this is not abundance, this is famine."

Ya gotta ask yourself WHY aid meant to be given to those in need at no cost is being sold at such high prices. Who controls the aid? Why does this individual label the availability of food as "abundance"? Who is exploiting the innocent civilians in Gaza?

Dr. Tom Adamkiewicz, a pediatrician from Atlanta, Georgia, speaking after three days on a medical mission:

"My message to Mr. Steve Witkoff: Come and face me directly — I'll show you everything."
"Most of the children show signs of severe malnutrition. Some literally faint during the day and suffer injuries. Children with chronic illnesses are suffering even more due to the lack of proper care. This is a completely inhumane situation. A kilo of meat or sugar sells for $100 - this is not abundance, this is famine."

It's terrible, and yet the Palestinians refuse to end the war that is causing all this hardship.

Why would the UN leave that aid there you dumb lying *****?

Food aid is piling up inside Gaza. Here's why it's not reaching those in need.

KEREM SHALOM CROSSING, ISRAEL-GAZA BORDER — More than a dozen empty flatbed trucks from Gaza rumble through the opening in the massive concrete wall that marks the border here. They park on the Israeli side and forklift drivers jump into action, loading huge sacks of flour, along with boxes of watermelons, mangoes, tomatoes and onions. Within 30 minutes, the trucks turn around and drive the short distance back into Gaza.

This scene plays out multiple times daily at Kerem Shalom, now the main artery supplying Gaza with food and medicine. All this activity raises hope that needed aid will reach the more than 2 million Palestinians trapped inside Gaza.

But here's the catch: Much of this humanitarian aid is piling up on the Gaza side of the border instead of traveling the last few miles to those suffering in the 10th month of the war between Israel and Hamas.

Israel blames the United Nations agencies responsible for collecting this aid and distributing it inside Gaza, saying they need to urgently step up aid deliveries.
_____________

U.N. cites multiple barriers to delivering aid

However, the U.N. and aid groups say Israel's responsibility doesn't end at the crossing. They say the ongoing Israeli military operations across Gaza, along with severe shortages of fuel, and looting in Gaza by armed Palestinians are crippling their ability to collect this aid from Kerem Shalom.

Some Western aid workers overseeing efforts in Gaza describe that side of the crossing as reminiscent of the "Mad Max" movies.

This is a lie. There are no restrictions on aid going into Gaza. No one is preventing aid going into Gaza. No one is stopping aid going into Gaza.

The UN dashboard shows that more than 40,000 tons of food went into Gaza for UN programs in June and July. (Of which, only 20,000 was collected, and only 4,000 reached its intended destination).

The GHF dashboard shows 100 million meals delivered directly to those in Gaza in the same time period.

World Central Kitchen served ~2 million meals during that time (my calculations, no dashboard).

And there are other aid groups operating.

Now. This is not to say that there aren't food shortages in some locations. This is not to say that there isn't hunger and malnutrition in some locations. It is not even to say that the situation may be dire for many families. It is also not to say that there aren't fully operational coffee shops, restaurants, markets, and shops and that the middle class and wealthier are not experiencing food shortages. And it is still also not to say that flooding Gaza with so much aid that it no longer has value is not the moral thing to do, even if it hamstrings the military operations or delays them by another year (with all the consequences of that).

But there is NO FAMINE (a word with a specific legal definition) and NO STARVATION (also a word with a definition) of the population.

What breaks my noodle about you, and others, is that you feel compelled to tell bullshit fabrications. The situation is actually bad enough, really, really. Why the need for the lies?

Israel controls the aid, the type and amount of it. This is not a mystery.

This is an extremely limited point of view. Israel can control the entry of the aid. Currently there is NO RESTRICTION on the aid coming in. Israel does not control the distribution of aid within Gaza. (Except very recently with the GHF).

Israel does not warehouse aid in Gaza. Israel does not distribute aid in Gaza (GHF excepted). Israel does not sell aid to Gazans. Israel does not control the aid within Gaza. Remember, this is at the insistence of the UN with appeals to international humanitarian law.

Who controls the aid within Gaza? Where did 36,000 tons of aid to be delivered by the UN GO? Who is warehousing it? Who is selling it?

Bring Hamas, other armed gangs, and the people of Gaza into this conversation!

Not so. The entire Mandate of Palestine territory (excluding Jordan) is sovereign Israel. There has never been another State in within the boundaries of that territory and no legal subdivision of the territory which creates a border between Israel and some other as yet imagined state. Israel has, thus far, chosen not to exercise her rights to sovereignty in favour of a future agreement with an emerging State of Palestine.

Well, this was the point of my post to Deadstick. As it is now, there are Israeli citizens and there are not-Israeli citizens. To treat not-citizens differently than citizens is not apartheid.

This is a uniquely Israeli view. It is also an unjust one. There's all sorts of heinous denial or rights that were legally accepted by those with power that felt threatened to cede or share it. They would hide behind this law and treat it as some sacrosanct thing ignoring the human injustice of it all. Israelis would seemingly be in the best position to understand that.

This is the legally correct view. Law isn't law if it doesn't apply universally.
