The Bible Is The Story Of God And His Plan To Fix The World

"I am making everything new"__The Lord Jesus Rev.21:5

Nothing on this earth has the power to defeat the finished work of the
Lord Jesus. "It is finished" said Jesus while on The Cross. Here are
the most powerful finished events in all of human history. No power
n the Universe can defeat these:

{1} The Cross -- the power of reconciliation, forgiveness, and restoration -- "being
justified by faith we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ" Romans 5:1

{2} The Resurrection -- the power of that Empty Tomb. He lives. He is alive.
He has conquered Death for us -- we now have eternal life.

{3} The Ascension -- the power of "I go to my Father" , , , "all authority in
Heaven and on earth has been give to me" Matthew 28:18

{4} The Exaltation -- the power of being now seated at the right hand of the
Almighty Sovereign God

The Bible is the true story of God and His Plan to set the world right again.

Yes , , ,
The Bible tells the true story of how God will Christianize the world and
successfully carry out His Son's Great Commission -- to go and make disciples
of all nations -- commanded at the very end of Matthew's gospel.

God is going to fix the world. The world is now broken -- but God is going to
fix it. Hope lives. Love conquers. Victory. The Cross wins the war for the world.
Evil is defeated. The Good wins. The world will be Christianized before the Lord
Jesus returns. The yeast of the gospel will make disciples of all the nations through
the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit who uses the plain simple gospel message
to regenerate the hearts of men and to enable them to believe in Jesus as their
Savior and then to understand the Bible, as the Holy Spirit begins the process
of creating the fruits of the Holy Spirit in their lives , , ,

Step one is John 3:3 -- you must be born again {regenerated}
Step two is John 3:16 -- you must believe in Jesus as your Savior
Step three is Galatians 5:22-23 -- you must allow the Holy Spirit
o produce these 8 qualities within your heart , , ,

Love
Joy
Forbearance
Kindness
Goodness
Faithfulness
Gentleness
Self-control

The Holy Spirit produces these 8 qualities in the hearts of humans.
This process is what finally fixes the world.

or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” Rev. 21:3-4

Because we rationalize wrong as right instead of being accountable. You more than anyone knows that, right?

Two thousand years ago, the apostles said, all things were being made new. All things have been new for two thousand years.

What does God still need to fix?
It's not God's to fix. It is ours. Jesus defeated death and told us to pick up our cross and follow Him. He didn't say He would do it for us.

The original sin was not disobeying God. The original sin was failing to be accountable when we disobeyed God.

Christ taught, "the meek shall inherit the earth" Matt 5:5, Psalms 37:11. The reason He said this was because when Jesus returns to the earth he will destroy the wicked and this earth will change from a telestial sphere to a terrestrial sphere. At the end of the Millennium, this earth will then be changed to a celestial sphere and will become part of the kingdom of heaven where upon God the Father also can reside. This earth will become part of the celestial kingdom of God and the righteous upon it will inherit it.

Revelation 20:2-15
2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,
3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.
4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.
6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,
8 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.
9 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.
10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Revelation 21:1-8
1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Look... if that were the case the world would not be as it is. Are you perfect? Do you do perfect things? Do you not submit to vainglory?

No, I wasn't in the "Garden." I read the account. Man knows right from wrong. When he violates it, rather than abandoning the concept he rationalizes he didn't do wrong. When they heard God coming they hid. That's man knows right from wrong. When asked if they disobeyed God, they made excuses. That's man not abandoning right and wrong but rationalizing they did not do wrong. If everyone changed that one thing, the world would transform overnight. You should try it yourself.

What Ding said. He's right. The original sin wasn't being naked or the fact that they ate the apple, it was that nobody took responsibility for their actions. When God asked Adam why he ate the apple, Adam said it was Eve's fault because she brought it to him (passing the buck and not taking responsibility). When God asked Eve why she ate the apple, she said that it was the serpent's fault (again, not taking responsibility). And, because God is forgiveness and love, I'm pretty sure that if they had admitted they were curious and wanted to see (taking responsibility), God would have forgiven them. But, neither wanted to admit their fault in the matter, and as a consequence, both got kicked out of the Garden. If they had admitted to what they did, instead of blaming someone else, I'm pretty sure the world today would be MUCH different now, and they probably would have been able to stay in the Garden.

Kinda like a child acts when they break or do something wrong, they don't want to own up to what they did. Parents are much more lenient on the kids that admit their mistakes than those that deny what they did.

Right. Think of it this way. None of us are perfect. None of us will do perfect things. We will make mistakes. BUT if after every mistake we took accountability and learned from our mistakes and made our mistakes right the world would transform itself over night.

Don't be that way, baby. I'm just trying to help you take some accountability in your life. Help me help you, brah. Become the best version you can be.

Right. Think of it this way. None of us are perfect. None of us will do perfect things. We will make mistakes. BUT if after every mistake we took accountability and learned from our mistakes and made our mistakes right the world would transform itself over night.

Exactly. Only thing is, there are a lot of Christians out there who after they screw up think all they have to do is ask for forgiveness, then they go out and do the same screw up again. Sorry, but it doesn't work that way.

Boy, are they gonna get a surprise when they finally have to stand before God, and there is no getting out of what they did. I learned that forgiveness is earned (not given) if you admit to what you did, and do your level best to never do that again, THEN you have earned forgiveness. Anything else is just lip service.

The Greek word for repent is "metanoia." Metanoia means to change your mind. Our thoughts, the flow of consciousness which determines our behaviors, can change. Metanoia has to do with moral activity, but goes beyond that. Jesus was teaching that we could change our mind about how we treat people. We don’t have to be unforgiving and cynical. We can change our mind about being negative. We can think positive thoughts and walk in faith instead of doubt. We can change our minds about sin. Rather than being caught in the strongholds of consistent habits of lust or selfishness, for example, we can experience freedom and selflessness. Jesus would not have told us to change unless it was possible and attainable. The Bible is full of words that speak about change. Repentance, metamorphosis, transformation, conversion, resurrection, rebirth, renewal, regeneration, healing and transfiguration.

Two thousand years ago, the apostles said, all things were being made new. All things have been new for two thousand years.

What does God still need to fix?
It's not God's to fix. It is ours. Jesus defeated death and told us to pick up our cross and follow Him. He didn't say He would do it for us.
"Behold, I (Jesus, not us) am making all things new." Two thousand years ago, Jesus was making all things new.
The original sin was not disobeying God. The original sin was failing to be accountable when we disobeyed God.
Who's "we"? You were in the garden for the original sin?
Look... if that were the case the world would not be as it is. Are you perfect? Do you do perfect things? Do you not submit to vainglory?
Well, that's the case. Biblically, that's the case. God's kingdom has been on the earth for two thousand years.
Philosophize, rationalize, and cogitate all you want.

Or read the Bible for what it says.

When it comes to the OT, you'd be better off asking a Jewish scholar about what they were trying to say. After all................it IS their book. The first 5 books are basically a paraphrasing of the Torah, and the rest is a history of the Jewish people, followed by some sayings and songs (Psalms and Proverbs). Sorry, but if you are using the KJV, realize that it is a translation of a translation of a translation.

I have. It says to not make an idol out of a book.

I know what the Old Testament says, partly because I don't read the KJV.

And I would take issue with the Old Testament being a text only for my Jewish neighbors down the street. The books of the Old Testament were written by prophets and poets subject to the Law of Moses. Those books were written by a temple people bearing tribal distinctions and who sacrificed animals and stoned women to death. Those books are products of an extinct culture.
